  1. Joe, I didn't take it that way, just wanted to state for the record that we use that temperature and thus far haven't had a problem with it. As for your problem... I'm not sure what to tell you. Perhaps they're being heated for too long? My numbers are suggestions. I don't actually set a time, I just keep watching, then feeling the liner to figure out when to pull it out of the heat. For the cuff height being different, I've only seen that when one has been pulled too much. I give the liner a gentle tug before tightening the buckles and I don't tighten the buckles very tight. Sometimes when the buckles are cinched down too much, the liner is pushed upward. For the short sole, I've never seen that! That's very strange. Does it shorten while your foot is in the boot cooling the liner or post cooling when your foot is out? Something that does come to mind... I've never molded an INTUITION without an orthotic/footbed on the person's foot. Maybe I've just been lucky and not witnessed this problem.
  2. I'd rather have it cancelled than have you do a bunch of work for nothing. Perhaps we can simply couple this even with SES? Do I need to speak with 'management'?
  3. Joe, I won't contradict what you've experienced (as I've read the other thread regarding this problem and brought it to the attention of INTUITION). I can tell you that 260degF is not too hot though. We regularly use that temperature (verified by a separate pyrometer). Temperature and time are important inversely proportinate factors in molding the liners. The higher the temperature, the shorter the cook time. If you're using 260degF, be certain to monitor the liner by observation and touch. Our instructions seem to work for us but I'll admit they shouldn't be considered the 'rule'. As quoted from our instructions... "Observe the liner while it cooks. You will see it begin to swell quite noticeably. Normally this begins after 4-6 minutes. Continue to cook for a couple of minutes after you see the liner swell. Usually 8-10 minutes is enough, although we’ve left them as long as 15 minutes without a problem. You'll know the liner is ready when it feels somewhat like a bag of firm gelatin. I'd be interested in seeing what liners you and Alexyga are having problems with. I have not molded this years liner (grey/silver outer). Can you guys post pics?
  4. How about getting rid of the 'number of posts' counter and the various 'levels' such as groomer grommet, alpine ace? Just because someone has posted 1000+ times, doesn't make them an expert!
  5. BBQ Chef His name is Geoff. Fun guy to ride with. Along that same line is the chef that got busted up in a car accident. He was a Stratton regular. What the heck was his name?
  6. I think the 'community' was formed in the the fall of 1999 or winter of 2000, but I can't be certain. That's when I first ventured into the 'fray'. My first post on the old forum was not well received. In fact, it turned into a personal attack on me. Oddly enough, it was a flaming thread that had been started by someone else and I simply commented on the fact that this wasn't much of a community! I guess proving the point was the point? I don't think there needs to be a conscious effort to 'Take (the) Bomber Forum Back!!' These flame things come and go.
  7. Rob, contact C^2, aka csquared... he and his son were looking for roomies.
  8. Just don't tell everyone where THE breakfast spot is in GWS!! There weren't many seats, and I don't want to wait!
  9. If you don't mind the drive (approx. 35-40 minutes) from Glenwood Springs to the Aspen/Snowmass area... then consider this motel: Cedar Lodge Motel (970) 945-6579 http://www.cedarlodgemotel.net/ Room with 2 queen beds = $70+tax
  10. underdog, Not a bad idea, but I think I'll just clarify a couple things for those who consider the option of flying from BUF instead of YYZ... The distance from Toronto (let's say the CNExhibition area) to Buffalo - Niagara International Airport is about 170km. I fly out of that airport pretty often (due to pricing) and have yet to make the trip in under 2 hours (to or from). It's a crap shoot at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge too... INS is usually pretty quick but the traffic can be heavy causing some pretty bad delays. INS has pre-clearance here in Toronto, so unless you're traveling on a high travel day, it's pretty painless to use the airport. Also, for anyone that's planning to use this idea, don't forget to budget for parking at or near the airport. This isn't that expensive if you're just going for a couple days, but it sure adds up after a week.
  11. Michelle, maybe you could edit your original post to include a poll about what days people intend to ride at SES? Include a couple days before & after the official dates, and allow multiple selections. This might give people a better idea of when they should plan on being there.
  12. I'd agree with Michelle on the board choice... I would normally ride a 180cm with 12.7m radius on just about everything. In the Aspen area I didn't even look at that board. Everything seems so wide open, and the conditions so forgiving, that I rode a 185cm with 16m sidecut all week at SES2004.
  13. On your way from Denver to Aspen (I70), stop in Idaho Springs at Beau Jo's Pizza. Here's the link... http://www.beaujos.com/
  14. Found airfare from Toronto (YYZ) to Denver (DEN) using Travelocity.ca, for $347cdn. Northwest Airlines. Seems reasonable to me. Aspen was about double that.
  15. Michelle! Andrea & I are trying to figure out how we're going to make SES 05 happen for us. Looks good at this point, but we need some details... When & where are the Bomber parties happening? Can we buy the beer (keg of course) again? This time I hope to drink a bit of it! Dave & Andrea Morgan OH, in case I forget... Doc Scott, there will be NO A-Basin for me this time 'round! Thanks again.
  16. - Dave Morgan & Andrea Cardiff - Toronto, Ontario & Weston, CT - Monday - Friday. Ride Buttermilk on Tuesday? Anyone that is driving from Denver towards Summit via I70... stop for Pizza, in Idaho Springs, at this place: http://www.beaujos.com
  17. Damn, i don't want to be known as having a 'junior member'!!
