  1. Can you tell us the sidecut radius of the board? Also, as Marvin said, the board seems really agressive for a beginner. You might have some trouble dealing with it due to the not-so-perfect technique you are probably using. The Carver's Alamac recommends a damper board to start, which should compensate for the technique. Not exactly here to be helpful either, considering I'm still on my all-mountain with softboots.
  2. The boots were delivered today. They're in good condition and came well packaged. Haven't gotten a chance to try them out yet, but it looks great! Thank you.

    Rossignol board

Is the board still for sale?
  4. I'm interested as well. Can you give me a quote for 44236 as well? Guess I'll be next in line if breeseomatic decides otherwise.
  5. Can you tell me the length of the Liberation, along with the sidecut radius and width of both boards? Thank you!
  6. Alright! I'm not in a huge hurry to buy a board. The season's almost over for me, so I can afford to spend more time looking and waiting. Thank you!
  7. Are these still available? I am interested. Are the liners heat moldable and if they are, how many times have they been molded? Thank you.
  8. Is this still for sale? I may be interested. The top sheet has a few nicks, but as you said, they're all superficial. The base doesn't really have much damage it seems and that's all that matters, right? Thanks.
  9. I am interested as well. Guess I'll be next in line! :-) Thanks!
  10. Thank you! It was really helpful.
  11. So I'm having a question. What range do shoes usually fit? Does a 26.5 boot fit from 26.5 to 27.4, or does it fit from only 26.5 to 26.9. Perhaps it's 26.0 to 26.9? I've been told that a whole number MP point fits up to the next highest whole number, but I am unsure about half integer MP numbers. Thanks!

May I ask what is the sidecut radius of the board? Thanks! Also, PMed
  13. Absolutely incredible. It'd really get a lot of public attention to the world of Alpine snowboarding.
  14. Turns out that I'm not 150 pounds, but instead I'm... 130 pounds. So... I think I'll need to look for shorter board. Thank you though! Well, it's got quite a queue on it. I guess I'll see. Thanks for the recommendation!
  15. Yeah. I reckon more practice will help me judge it better. Thanks. I've been trying that earlier this season. It doesn't help me with the transition between the turns though, which is why I started carving (or try to, at least) full S-turns. Thanks for the advice though!
  16. Well, I'm usually in summit county, so I guess I'm not that far away from you. This season wasn't great, yeah. The weather was quite erratic this year indeed. Thanks for offering though! Much appreciated. Well, I guess I can buy second hand, try remolding it, and if it doesn't work I can look into new liners. Thanks!
  17. Right... thanks! It seems my mondopoint is 27. I'll go look around on the forum. Hm. I don't really feel like buying a 1000 dollar board just to outgrow it in a couple of seasons. Thanks for the advice though. I'll focus more on transitioning. Are most liners remoldable if I buy them second hand? I guess it'd be suboptimal to wear liners someone has worn before... do you think it's better to buy new ones or just using second hand ones? Thanks! I'll remember that for when I get my boots. Well, I guess I'll go look at more expensive boards after knowing how to handle myself on a second-hand alpine board first. Thanks!
  18. Looking for a pair of 27 Mondo Boots. Preferably with step-on compatible heel. I'm not looking for a specific brand or make, just attempting to start hardbooting. :-) Thanks!
  19. Hm. I have a couple of skiing friends. Perhaps I can ask them as well for bootfitting advice. They're all hard shelled boots, right? I guess I'll look around on this site for more info. Is there a difference between ski liners and snowboard hardboot liners? Also, should I look into second hand boot as well? I hope they won't lose their stiffness like soft boots sometimes do. Thanks!
  20. Right... I already have a pretty stiff board, so I guess I can start from there. How should I find the correct fit for my boots? According to the carver's alamanc, I should ditch the factory liners and get new ones? Is that something still relevant today? Is there a serious need to go to a bootfitters or can I get away with buying online? I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere, so I reckon it'll be difficult finding one. Thanks!
  21. So I've been just getting into alpine carving and I've attempted to carve on my current all mountain board with soft boots with moderate success. I've already changed the angles to both positives. I'm thinking of acquiring an actual alpine board and hard boots for next season. Which board do you recommend me going for, or generally what to look for in a board? I weight around 150lbs and is just under six feet. Thanks!
  22. Ouch. I... did not search the translation before I choose this. Now I'm called "murder" for anyone from Germany, Czech, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, or Poland. I live near Cleveland and the lake, so.…yeah. Right. I guess I'll switch to a mellower slope. Thanks!
  23. No, unfortunately... I live in Ohio but snowboard both in China and over here. I travel around a lot. So basically I turn in tighter and make more complete turns to slowly rub off speed using friction? Right. Thanks!
  24. I'm quite new to carving. Haven't gotten a alpine setup yet and I have only carved on my softboot and all mountain board. One problem I often encounter is that I go too fast down the slope. As I'm just learning to carve, I make mistakes when I go too fast, but can't find a way to slow down without letting off the edge. How do you shave off speed while on edge?
