The Vari-Cants install between the aluminum bases and the plastic covers of the Burton Race Plates and provide 7.5 degrees of toe/heel lift and up to 4 degrees of canting options. Sale includes two complete sets (a pair for one toe and one heel per set) and an additional half set (for either an additional toe or heel), as well as a couple of spare base sections, hardware and instruction sheet, as shown in photos. Hey, It was AMK (Anna) that was impacted by Sandy. I had the pleasure of meeting Anna at the 2011 SES. Beautiful gal with a great spirit and personality! I getting worried when she stopped posting to FB for several days. She recently posted an update that her home is no more:(. She indicated she managed to get out safely with her bike, snowboards and good shoes. She has been cleaning and trying to salvage what she can :(. She lives in Brooklyn. Given what she has been through her posts indicate a strong spirit! :) There are a lot of impacted areas not making the news. It is all so sad:(

Hey Barryj, I heard back from one person. He indicated he won't make a decision as to whether he is coming until late Dec/early Jan. I sent him a link to this thread so he knows how to contact you. As of now our room is full as it looks like it is me + hubby and one of my girlfriends. If for some reason she backs out I will let you know. I recommend checking the St. Moritz dorms. They are reasonable and close to the bus lines. What Michelle says above makes sense:)

Hi barryj, We are not staying in Aspen for all of SES (spending first part of week in UT). I have sent out a message to some other folks from CA that are attending the entire week staying at the same lodge to see if any of them have room. I sent out a message via facebook this am.

The Tyrolean is on Main St (at First & Main) in downtown Aspen. You can take a taxi 3 miles from the airport (2 years ago this cost $15) or walk out to highway for free shuttle to town. The Tyrolean sits right in front of the bus stop so getting to any of the hills is easy and there is a small (and tasty) breakfast cafe directly across the street. The St Moritz is about 2 blocks from bus stop and is also in downtown (west end). We have not stayed here so others on the board may have have more info http://www.stmoritzlodge.com/ I do know that there are a few people (including us) staying at the Tyrolean. There are a couple of us driving out so we have cars (we take the bus if we intend on drinking) and we offer rides to people if they like.

Sorry I forgot another..........the St. Moritz. My understanding is they also have dorm like rooms pretty cheap/reasonable (if there is such a thing for Aspen).

Hi, Check the Tyrolean. We have stayed there twice. Prices were very affordable (130-175). Clean, close to bus stop an larger rooms have a kitchenette.

Yep that is a great video! I think that was done a year or two ago? This is a classic thread! Great to see it revived (never knew about it)! Picture is an original hand made Kick by Chris Sanders. Damian has a beautiful wife (actually she is VERY HOT) and a beautiful little girl. They reside in OC and Damian works/owns Monster Stage. He rides up in Mammoth sometimes and still does Glamis. Brandy re-married years ago and lives in Canada if I recall. Damien's buddies Dana and Jeff still live in OC. Both are happily married with children. Dana is still in the moto industry and Jeff has landscape architecture firm (actually did some stuff for our home last summer). Both still ride a bit usually Big Bear or Mammoth family outings. Graham-last time we saw him was 10/8/93 when Damian's hearse pulled up in our drive way and they were all very drunk. I think Steve and my husband puked in the driveway. Anyhow they left my husband passed out on the doorstep the night before our wedding LOL. I think he lives in Hawaii now. Now lives in SoCal, works as a teacher and is a rated women's motocross racer. Also has a sports photography business on the side. Shannon & Triple D - Happily married living in Encinitas. Have seen them with the family at Mammoth twice in the past several years. Circe-Has done amazing and looks beautiful! Married and currently pregnant. For what it is worth (probably not much) I am just getting into split boarding. I am 5"5 145lbs. I took an avy level 1 class, did a lot of reading and I spoke with 2 women up in the Sierras that are experienced splitters. They recommended the venture storm or the prior brandywine. The Venture is VERY durable, a bit heavier, slightly more set back, tapered and rocker. The prior brandywine can be customized, but stock is/was a tad skinnier and lighter. Also the prior is more expensive. Our powder tends to be heavier here (Sierra cement) :( On another note I am hearing good things about the donek splits. Unfortunately I can't ride soft boots anymore due to a spinal fusion with cage in my lower spine. Soft boots are not as forgiving on my back. I also have a damaged right Achilles. My scarpas are fantastic and I can ride them most of the day without pain. I have seen used scarpas online for reasonable prices. Not sure of your boot size, but we have several pairs of hard shells we are going to be selling in the near future once we clean out our garage. I lucked out on the board. My husband picked it up for my birthday, a demo from Venture lightly used for $300! Too good of a deal to passs up! I think there may be some new Prior brandywines from last year in mammoth. If so they should be reduced in price. Let me know if you want me to find out next time we are there. If they have any left I can definitely get a decent discount for you. Thanks for catching my typo:) Yes June is/was a carvers paradise! They treated us so well over there!!!! What other resort closes down a run with mid day grooming for a private group of carvers? None! On another front we heard that June is permanently closed. The word "temporary" was used to adhere to the guidelines of the lease agreement. For it to "permanently" close MMSA would have to have to spend money to put the land back in the same/similar shape it was prior to the lease. So it will be "temporarily" closed for a long time.
