  1. I come up on thursdays to ride. We will need to hook up to destroy squirel and warm springs. I heard this week was awesome. Leave some cord for me--going to ride at Brundage on fri-sun.
  2. We don't have mandatory seatbelts or a motocycle helmet law here--they figure in a idaho automobile--if the windshield doesn't kill you, then the gun rack in the back window will getcha. How many motocyclist do like the helmet law?
  3. I have broken one set on emery, one set on snowpro's but my TD1's have worked fine on my eldorado 176. That baby can even do some lay down carvin. It also can spank you big time.
  4. No no no Did i say it sucked---you missed it--hero snow--I'll be there on friday, saturday and sunday--if it is as good as last friday--you won't be seeing me on the mountain.--i'll be home doing something fun --like knitting. JW:p
  5. D-sub i rode at Brundage in McCall--about 5 hours from Bend. It usually is really good but we had 37" in 36 hours then 24 hours of high 30's with rain. Mike i was makin trenchs with my board, hips and elbows, but the biggest ones were when i would get pitched over the nose. It was so soft we were having trouble planting our hands to push back up off the snow--your hands would sink to your armpits.:(
  6. It wasn't me in the >20. I voted in the 16-20 group. I think we need a recount.
  7. '84 on a burton board with dolomite ski boots--very painful. I also did some riding in '79 on a Gar snow/sand board--no sidecut just little fiberglass fins on the outside edges with a foam core. That innovation didn't go over real big. they did look real cool when the fins would rip off and turn into streamers draging behind you.
  8. drove a Mercedes ML 320 for a year- actually a 1999 model and A 2000 model. It was a "German car" made in Tuscalousa Alabama. My body shop guy was commenting how right off the production line the body panels were out of line- as if they had already been in an accident- the gaps were all uneven. It isn't up to Mercedes Standard--Only stupid americans drive Mercedes--the rest of the world uses them for taxi cabs.
  9. Hey-D-Sub Are you a hand model?--those liners might work just as well as oven mitts.
  10. You broke one Burner right in front of me on Engin. I believe that was on the 5th or 6th run on the first day of use. We sat on the snow and calculated how much it cost you a run--how could you forget you were almost in tears.
  11. I have had two throttles and one accelerator all with the foam core--you can see the blue foam through the top sheet now because it has desinagrated. They now ride like a sponge. The polyuerathane microcell foam like the kledgecell foam of the early 80's didn't contain the elasticity for the repeaded flex of skis and snowboards. They were certainally a fun board for the first year or two at least in my case.
  12. That would look good with John Kerrys flower zipper pull!
  13. Gecko-- They groom Targee everyday--since when?
  14. Get out of that hole(santa Cruz) move to the mountains--reduce the gas money issue.. Born and lived there for 28 years--hateful place to live if your passionate about carving on snow.
  15. You killed Sandy. i Knew she didn't spend all her time in bikini bottom.
  16. Gee KT (imelda Marcos of boots and boards) Don't be givin your boots away! Remember your slippers are now priceless historic relics. Jeff:D
  17. bob She gets my vote--7 times winner or top four in the HP/Powerbar womens chalenge--the TOUR DE FRANCE for women in addition to all the other results you posted.. She's still doin it what 44 years old now. As far as bob roll goes he may be a goof--but for those of us that have raced with or against him we have another 7- letter word for him. I'm not writing the word because it is not pg-13.
  18. I think Jack's right--it went Amp---e-deck---wire and then coil--I have one of each somewhere in the attic. Soft flex but real fun in the mashed potatoes and edges of the runs.
  19. Now lets see you get your "fakie" on!
  20. Art, I'll be there on thurs or friday or saturday--bright yellow jacket--maillot jaune--mellow jonny--green Donek--grey helmet--i be lookin for you!
  21. Lived most of my life in santa cruz--surfed all around that area-excluding Mavericks------Now ride at brundage and sun valley--got to meet up with Hooly

  23. We were bummed, We drove by the entrance to the canyons at 9am on the way home-almost had kirsten talked into turning into the parking lot. Great pictures of you guys tearing it up. Thanks for everything--really cool group. Adam you dog--you better have gotten some good turns for me. jeff
