  1. Hry Jaco...Thanks! What's Mastic?
  2. KC....naw, I make sure the that part of the liner is tucked in and I have to smooth it as I put on the boot because it's a real pain to try to smooth it back down and in if you wait until the last buckle!
  3. Another vote for the 50+! Really surprised to see that many of us. Started out in CO back in 85. I date back to having to pass a test to get to ride on any Mtn. in Vt or NH Even still got some of those "test" cards somewhere! Been doing alot of Road Biking for the summer/fall workout. Much better on the old joints than running, rock climbing or mountaineering! Did the Tahoe/Sierra Century this Fall.....it was Great! Surprised there's hardly any hardbooters up here in the Tahoe area!
  4. Bone Dry up here at 6000+ft...hasn't snowed since the week before Thanksgiving! This is a resort town(s) and lots of people leaving - no snow, no work! Just can't wait any longer. Forecast looks like we will be dry into Feb. Went rockclimbing New Years Eve in just shorts!
  5. Anybody had problems with the cuff of the liner bunching up?? I know I'm missing the spoliers but the back of the liner lifts up where the power strap goes thru and getys all twisted and is a pain to push back down every time I put them on!! Here's what's happening..... BJ
  6. Come on....I know somebody's got some 01 junk parts just sitting in the basement or a closet somewhere! Help a brother out, will ya!
  7. Anybody got any of the old Oxygen 01 bindings? I'm looking for any and all parts....most specifically: Rubber base rings Front bales.....manual or step in Yes, maybe I'm a dinosaur....but I've tried numerous versions of the TD's, Catek and Snopro and the old Oxygens are easier/simpler to adjust and have done the best job for me. If there is some other binding out there you guys think is similar let me know .......just don't ask how old my boards are.......... barryj01@msn.com
  8. $100 + shipping These are the sexy Red version....solid 9 out of 10 Just recently bought (hardly) used off this board, I used them once, just not enough forward adjustability for my 30.5 boots....so I'm over an inch behind the center mark.......probably best for a boot 29.5 or smaller email me at: barryj01@msn.com
  9. Good info guys...I'm gonna go with the 4X4...thanks! Rick, I ride Burke weekly (free pass from work) and I get around to one of the following, Cannon, Bretton Woods, Wildcat and Cranmore at least once a month. My son has a season pass to Cannon so I try to get out with him some.
  10. Thanks for the info guys..... My angles are steep enough that I don't hang over on either Sims...around 57 degrees regular on Oxygen 01 step in bindings. Besides wide open groomers I also like the narrow trails with more terrain to negoiate...that's why the shorter boards. The Descender has been the All Mtn. Carver for me and the Daytona has been the wide open groomer.....kinda looking for one do-all Board. Here's the stats for those boards: I had the board lengths wrong...... Daytona: length 162cm Waist 25.3cm Sidecut Radius 9m Flex 5.6 Descender: Length 157cm Waist 25.3 Sidecut R 8.7 Flex 6.7 What about a Prior ATV?
  11. OK...I an old and cheap SOB and I've been riding a Sims Descender 163 and a Sims Daytona 168, both bought new in 2001! I'm 6'2 and 225lbs, mondo 29.5 and get out at least once a week throughout the season and all though the Sims are still running strong I guess I might benefit from a newer ride. I'm riding in New England and have fun on blue/blacks doing mostly big, wide carves. So...I was thinking of a Prior 4X4 174....slighty used What do you guys say? Is this a move in the right direction or would you recommend something else?
  12. Raichle 324 Mondo 29.5 SOLD! The 300 series is the stiffest boots Raichle ever made. Replaced straps and heels two seasons ago.....toe buckle is difficult on right boot, but catches towards the tightest setting. Traditional liners in fine shape. I would rate these 4 out of 10, mostly for the scuffing and buckle wear. $50 + shipping
  13. Hey Joe, I believe they have to be 29.0 or 29.5 Can you please post a photo of the size stamped inside the shell above the ankle.
  14. Anybody got a Daytona 168 in good shape still hanging around? barryj01@msn.com
  15. Looking for a set of toe bails or a whole set of Oxygen 01 Bindings barryj01@msn.com
  16. Well, Scooby, I doubt anyone would want to see my ratty old boards, but I'm still running Sims....Sims Descender 159, Simns Dayrona 158 and the super fast Candy Apple Red Sims Daytona 163 and all on plates and they still chew up the crud and groomers we have up here in Northern NH See ya on the slopes, I'm the old fat guy that just passed ya!
  17. OK...this is my monthly post looking for anybody that's been riding as long as me (early 80's..25 years?)and still got some Oxygen 01 bindings parts laying around. Need a couple front bails to get my rock board back out carving on the slopes...you don't want to know how old the board is either! .....and yes I'm a cheap mofo!
  18. Anybody still got any Oxygen parts laying around? I need a couple of toe bails with workable springs to resurrect a rock board setup.
  19. Yep, still riding em...but anybody got any complete toebails.....mine finally snapped the inner spring casing. Beggars can't be picky, but let me know what ya got. barryj01@msn.com
