  1. A bad day on the hill is better than a good day anywhere else. Call the ski school for a group deal boarding or skiing with that size they may have an intro special stay close to where you are more time on hill first time out . Layer up, helmets a must!! ask about student discount! I'll put in a plug for the oshawa ski club off hwy115 @ regional rd 9.

  2. Had the last ride up last year before they strung new cable for gondola don't know which was worse last ride on old cable or first ride on new cable! Jay was great real deal on off piste rescue the patrol signs said they would charge $50. lift tickets a deal also. They gave a discount if you had a membership somewhere else .Lots of construction there this summer so they have to be looking for a return price around. On hill is more money:cool: this year.

  3. HB capitol of canada oshawa ski club excuse the name their in a re-branding mode 15 hbooters on snowboard team. matt morisons home turf he was out over holidays giving pointers and signing autos. Great ambassador for the sport here. Really looked up to by all.:biggthump most kids on team riding on a piece or part from matts quiver.

  4. don't get me wrong on any safety issue my beef is with paranoia and the insurance chill we have all been exposed to recently. How are kids today going to learn to asses their own skills in varying situations while boarding and skiing if they only experience the sanitized conditions of todays insurance chilled resorts. Safety netting down the entire slope and groomed slopes so flat one out of place snowball causes everone to take evasive action. AS far as electrical safety, if your equip won't make the job 100% safe pass it off to your boss thats why he makes the big bucks ! When it comes to safety on the slopes I question the importance of park crews going thru the park mid day and measuring the angle of approaches to park features,:argue: to cover their insurance brokers requirements but failing to pad a maple tree clearly in the middle of a run . I don't expect them to cut all said trees or even pad them but at the same time if one is capable of avoiding these clearly lethal behemoths everything else is childs play so let them play!

  5. those cute little kids with all the new gear, pole straps tight around their wrists loading and unloading from the chair lift . are they tripping me on purpose because i'm not a two plank wanker! or hasn't any one explained to them what happens when that little nylon strap twists around their cute little wrist wraps them up in a chair mishap? take the straps off your wrist and stop tripping the dude on the funny board! :flamethro

  6. ice buildup inside base of tower caused top section which was a smaller diameter to break welds and pop open if you are riding on lifts with segmented towers and the snow guns are pointing at the towers tap them with your pole or buddies coiler and see if they are hollow or ready to do the freezie push up . it takes tons of force to budge one of these towers utube (chair lift destruction) to get an idea of the forces involved
