  1. Today race was cancelled due to cold weather... Was -32C at 10am...
  2. Had a brand new Prior WCR Metal a couple years ago ( a 2007 ). I wrote to Prior and asked them if I could put the board in the "Toko Hot Box" and they quickly reply there were no problems doing so.
  3. Here is some answer from this summer thread http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=21677
  4. If Mont Blanc is not high enough and you have rule out Tremblant And Quebec area...that put you back to Owl's Head in the Eastern Township http://www.owlshead.com/page.asp?intNodeID=37824 Owl's is the fifth ( ? ) highest mountain in Quebec ( Le Massif, Tremblant, Ste-Anne, Orford ). They have Ski-in Ski-out accomodation. You can drive to Jay Peak, Vertmont for a day ( 30-35 minutes drive ) for a powder day. You're 45 minutes away from Magog, where you can find nice places for dining or entertainement. Mid-week at Owl's Head, you will be "alone", nothing to compare to Tremblant or Bromont. If interested, Provincial federation have organized a 2-days event last year ( small boardercross & GS style race ) at Owl's Head and were looking to repeat this again. Superbee
  5. NEVER EVER use UPS. They will charge you expensive brokerage fees on top of duties/tax ( GST ), EVERYTIME, no matter what the cost of the item. I got caught once with a $15 Ebay item, where I paid $1 of tax but $55 USD of brokerage fees:AR15firin. If I can't go around, I avoid the seller. I had three pairs of skis / boards shipped via USPS last year and went flawless. Some ( ??!!?? ) post office thought will not accept longer than 5 feet (?) box, but not all of them, why ? Superbee
Bon tune-up.
  8. 24 hours after the race...still no detailed results, others than the podium If anybody can put the detailed results of today and yesterday on BOL, I will be very happy. As of Thursday 12h40, nothing on www.fisski.com. Typically, it takes 3-4 days to be on FIS site.
  9. Great footage BoosterTwo Thx
  10. " Following its Copper stop, Race to the Cup moves on to Steamboat Springs, Colorado Jan. 9-10 and hosts its final stop at a yet to be determined time and location. The three-tour stop combines with four Canadian NorAm events to crown the NorAm champion for 2009," Rumors...rumors: where is the third stop ? Park City as last year ? East Coast as 2 years ago in Bromley, VT ? Is there a third stop ? Four Canadian events ? Norquay, Le Relais & Tremblant are on the FIS calendar ? Fourth one ??
  11. As of 12h33 EST ( 10h33 Copper Time ) the 2nd qualifying run for men was not complete. They had timing problem that added a 30 minutes delay. Seems like it will be a long day SuperBee
  12. Don't worry, I'll keep watching BOL. Usually, that's one of the fastest way to know the podium. Live-timing from Park City was great last year http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=19616
  13. For this coming Wednesday & Thursday races, what will be the fastest way via Internet to get the results ? ( Phil, I won't be there ) I know last year, www.live-timing.com gave instant timing over internet for Park City RTTC. I can't find any info on their site for this week races. FIS website could take up to 3-4 days before to post them. Any other idea ?
  14. Unless you really like ICE pack, you should rule out Orford in the Eastern Township. Owl's Head is very nice, worth a look. You could take a sneak peek at Jay Peak, VT from Owl's Head. Sutton is known for its glades and narrow runs, not what you like for carving. Bromont could be very crowded with its very aggresive pricing ( had 25,000 season passes a couple years ago !! ) Mont Blanc has a solid base of young hardbooters, the biggest group of kids in Quebec. You have an "Auberge" and Condos for Ski-In/out. The Auberge is located within the main chalet/cafeteria/bar. It would be a logical choice, if you rule out Quebec City. All depend on time of the year also.
  15. 7h00 am ! 7H00 pm, you'll find racers somewhere else... Race is now a PGS instead of a GS.
  16. From what I heard, one run will be closed starting today for training. Typically, the training occured very early in the morning ( 6h30 ? ). That run reopen to public later on ( before 10h ). Swiss team is training at Copper actually ( rumors ? ) and will be part of RTTC.
  17. Phil, Are you talking about Copper or Steamboat ? Is Copper part of RTTC ? Are Swiss coming to Steamboat or Copper ?
  18. You're 100% right JDB. Tremblant will be the finals of the NorAm PGS/PSL races, after Copper Mountain ( November ) Norquay ( in December ) Steamboat ( in January ) and Le Relais ( In January ). Being the Finals of the NorAm, this is also the Canadian & American Championship, same races, they just post a separate ranking. For the Canadians racers, you have to be at that race if you want to be considered for the National team. So, it is also the best field of N-A racers who is present at the finals. For World Cup races, Stoneham was selected for the 2013 Snowboard World Championship ( One week event every 2 years ). As they were selected for 2013, there will be an World Cup event every year ( 2009, 2010,2011,2012 ) at Stoneham as preparation for the World Championship. Superbee
  19. Adam McLeish is now register in Great Britain team. He probably has double nationality...
  20. Being in the racing forum, as we only talk about race & sbx here, I would say this would be the category for voting. As a Canadian, JJay get a vote from me. His current FIS Ranking: 9th in race, 42nd in SBX. One of the only two being Top 50 in both disciplines.
  21. Phil, Don't forget those Quebecer that all went through Pat Gaudet program first, before their National Team selection: JJ, Christelle, Caroline, Cody, Adam, Lilian, Ariane, Constance. ( + Phil Berube on "retirement" list but still 3rd Canadian ) Lilian, Ariane & Constance were still training with Pat last year. I would take that team anytime.
  22. Still I can't find the results 4 days after the race. I'm just curious about the results ?
  23. Good info Dave, As written before, it sounds like they have not produced their financial reports since years: <TABLE cellSpacing=0 width=450 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>"AR/AS Filed:</TD></TR><TR><TD width="40%"></TD><TD width="60%">Not Filed - 2008</TD></TR><TR><TD width="40%"></TD><TD width="60%">Not Filed - 2007</TD></TR><TR><TD width="40%"></TD><TD width="60%">Not Filed - 2006"</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
