  1. should start digging for shirts in my garden
  2. @ Pow What? the clothing company? :D @ Kimo Ich bin ein Carver! ... Salzburg is a rough place first they robbed Blue Tomato earlier this season (ah no that was already across the border in Steiermark actually) and now this fire ... didn't even know about that factory only that their corporate headquarters for Europe are in Innsbruck, Tyrol I think although I kinda lost interest in that a while ago  although off topic here and I guess this should not be the thread for bashing Burton I could try to do a quick translation of what Sigi Grabner said in his book about that issue ... german version is included below http://stoked.at/news/?p=16
  3. wow that is impressive data collection so I guess there are two ways to go then a suitable multi purpose GPS and tailored software for convenient data interpretation or some other from scratch hardware and software solution which seems to be hard to achieve for a double digit price ... GPS is what some already have and can use also when it can log the course over the hill that sounds quite nice I might get one so far just wanting to know the coordinates of the flat and the nearest bar never seemed to justify that investement :D and yeah right a lot of Gs would be too much although the thought of passing out on a turn would be sort of funny <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJi1vi9XHWY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJi1vi9XHWY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
  4. yeah right 2 pages I just didn't check for a while so I was surprised to see only alpine boards on their what used to be their general snowboarding page ... and not ot mention asy boards ... site under construction thanks
  5. anyone noticed that the current F2 site is a bit alpine heavy? http://www.f2-snow.com
  6. good points and suggestions ... and wasn't aware that there would possibly be G-meters out there that you could just velcro to your legs ... should be a cool little accessory though also regarding its price ... gonna find out just for fun about how these g-meters work so far and without any knowledge about anything I thought one could possibly engineer this to be a thin pad (if that exists) that could be mounted under one's feet or rather somewhere between the boot sole and board that would simply measure the weight - add a chip and maybe bluetooth cell phone software to that to which you can input the rider's weight at first and if it's 80 kilos and the weighting pad measures 160 you did 2 Gs or maybe fin should just develop the TDG binding that includes a G-meter
  7. you should work on that story a bit and send it to an appropriate magazine for the letters page ... also this would promote alpine so you could justify getting into that story I guess ...
  8. wow that is a funny story can you post a pic of that wonderboard that no one would step on?
  9. wouldn't it be cool to have a G meter on the board? :) so you could look down and say oh that last one was a 3.6 G turn anyway while talking about it I realized I have no idea how many Gs actually are involved in carved turns or what the maximum number of Gs that one can pull on an alpine board would be ... any ideas?
  10. What's up with fanpages? Cause I am aware of none ... Start one! Or in case you care to check out official sites and help me complete the list that would be appreciated too ... Can send out CARVE DIEM bracelets to the first 10 who can point out a pro rider who got a website and is not already on the page ... http://stoked.at/alpine_alpin_snowboard_pro_riders.html gotta have an own site (not just a profile page) and a FIS page Cheers and THANKS, Bernhard
  11. don't diss David <a href="http://stoked.at/snowboard_limbo_contest.html" target="_blank">...</a>
  12. ... didn't get a headache I think one could argue about the whole who invented what thing and criticise whatever view an article would take on that if it was an article in a snowboard magazine or other snowboard specific media but that article appeared in a general media that covers anything from current wars to make up tips so don't think one should be unhappy about the article not covering controversial aspects of snowboard history so whatever to me it was great to see an article in a mainstream media that presents alpine snowboarding in a positive way

Gary Busey shared some of his thoughts on the KIIS FM morning show :) http://ryan.kiisfm.com/cc-common/mainheadlines2.html?feed=152739&article=3322664
  14. ... nice, carvedog  one construction site my site but I just cleaned up the source code ... ... of the facts section and loaded it up way to go anyway http://stoked.at/stay_and_play.html
  15. actually it depended solely on wheter I liked the (training) victim or not
  16. I was a lifeguard too I liked the part best where we learned to push the victim under water or hit him in the face they never show that on Baywatch okay granted they have that orange buoy but they could have brought more action to the show another disappointment was that on vacation and happening to see a scene shot on the beach the only cast members around were Hasselhoff and that (second) Hobie guy ... since we couldn't switch them out we rollerbladed on
  17. stoked.at is starting to get back online and I have registered an additional domain name for email services and a pretty cool one too anyone interested can get an email account @ carvediem.com advantages are a lot of untaken usernames, webmail and email client access without any ads or promotional taglines on outgoing emails disadvantages at this time are that the storage space on the server is low and that I have to set up the accounts manually so you need to contact me via the website (once your account is set up you can change the password yourself anytime) so far this is a small scale email service for sure - still I wanted to let you know that you can already get yourname@carvediem.com cheers and good carves, Bernhard
  18. would it be possible to swim switch?
  19. at least one of my cousins is into the ride the others are all Blizzard fanatics
  20. I would like to give the hangboard a try not to mention that helicopter :)
  21. I thought this was about Mittersill in Austria which is a small village where I have aunt, uncle and cousins and that also is the home of the Blizzard ski factory
