Thanks Michelle, I'm checking this through the company that puts cheap trips together in Canada, I'll se what they come up with, then compare. John

The ski charter people here think I'm nuts... they haven't even got their packages together yet (can you say $47 /bbl oil price), and I'm asking them about February. In fact we seem to finally be getting summer here (maybe?). Anyhow... using last year's pricing and adding 10 percent (for no particular reason other than fuel supplement) Saturday arrival and departure from Toronto plus hotel, transfers to and from Eagle, and lift ticket CAD 2400 or about US 1800. Last year they used "Molly Gibson Lodge" or "Limelite Lodge" or The Gant". DOes anyone know what these are like? John

The last couple of times I have flown Air Canada (try WestJet if you can instead!) I have been asked "is there only one board in that bag?" telling me that if there is more than one board they have to be in separate bags and the check-in rules only allow for one board or one pair of skiis per person. If there is more than one board or pair of skiis they want money! I have never run into dimension issues, just weight and the above on number of boards. John

Just when things were looking good..... I had a great time at ECES Sugarloaf, and I hope someone will be able to gather the pieces back up and make a variant work (Jack... hint hint). The sport will be better for it. John

Mark: My wife sends her thank you for not sending me home on crutches or whatever! How was your drive home? Mine turned into a mini blizzard for 3.5 hours and then sunshine for another 7.5 hours. At about the 6-7 hour mark I stopped to fill the Jeep and me and ran into Dave Morgan YYZCanada and his fiancée at the pumps. We hardly recognized each other out of context. Thanks for your company and patience on the hills all week, it made it a very enjoyable experience. I look forward to next year. John
