  1. Are pliers the tool you are refering to? its a bitch to fit your hand in there but not a big deal to hold the nut with pliers and then remove the screw. Good needle nose works best. I just did it last week. And really Silver tongues for you? I dont see that working. I ride the silver tongues.
  2. Banquet and other details will be posted in the next two weeks. Check this thread often for updates. Also if you have specific questions you can email us at eastcoastexpressionsession@gmail.com
  3. Yes there will be a banquet. It will be Thursday night. pricing and menu are being worked out know and should be posted in a few weeks. but it wil be very much inline with what we have done in past years. (See 2014 post)
  4. It’s finally here…the official ECES kickoff thread! Dates are set for Feb. 22-26, 2016, at Stratton Mountain, Vermont. This is the largest gathering of carvers on the east and we’ll be tearing up some of the best, groomed terrain that Stratton has to offer. ECES is a non-competitive event that is open to anyone interested in alpine snowboarding. All ages and abilities are welcome. What makes the ECES unique is that it is run by a small team of fellow carvers that have no industry ties, they just love to carve and want to share the experience. We’ve got special group rates available to all East Coast Expression Session attendants, as in the past. Stratton will hold rooms for us through 1/21/16, so don’t wait too long to book your stay. After that, there are no guarantees for these rates. To book accommodations, YOU MUST CALL (no online booking). Call 1-800-STRATTON (787-2886) and state that you are with “East Coast Expression Session”. 6. what exactly is the Backward Carnival Ride of Death charlift? I am there all the time and have never seen that attraction. I may go mountain biking at Killington on Sunday but no riding for me.
  7. Mark, Put me down for Saturday. Alex
  8. There used to be a whole group of us that did it all the time. Bob Jenny, Jack, Paul K, Shaggy, Trailer Trash, Geoff, myself. Everyone moved onto different things, those still riding have migrated more into dirt riding. (enduro, hare scramble type stuff). Paul, John and I still have track bikes so maybe a carvers track day in the spring. Would love to ride Thompson having grown up there in the late 60's early 70's watching my dad race sports cars.
  9. Very interesting, as a lot of this took place in my home town. What is left of the early shop is now our butcher shop. It's amazing how many of these old boards you find hanging in people's houses around here. I swear a couple of these pro boards are in my neighbors playroom. The 85 was the first board I ever rode, I gave it one day and said it was stupid. Waited six years before I tried it again. Back to the original reason for posting. Look at the back cover of the catalog picture on the right. Jack recognize the name of the photographer? He was taking pictures at ECES last week. You can't image his collection of photos from that era.
  10. We will take the ECES group photo tomorrow morning at 10:20AM in front of the demo tent. See you there. Alex
  11. For those of you planning to come out to the Red Fox tonight for dinner, I suggest getting there by 5:30PM. Based on how busy it was last night getting there later then that may make for a long wait for seating space.
