  1. I have a 2001 or 2002 Race Carve that is still one of my favorite rides. I am sure that it has well over 150+ days on it. Very durable. Still very lively and plenty stiff. I would give it 2 thumbs up!!:biggthump
  2. Same days, Same players, Good Times! <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3goPaTC1SMg&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3goPaTC1SMg&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
  3. The judging was a little fishy and sporadic. The said no skating but the skiers did anyway and the judges did not DQ them. So they decided that a skier named Eric Wilson was the winner...I think?
  4. quality is kind of poor but you get the idea. 6. B = Broken O = Old M = Men ---on B = Boards ---hoping for E = Early R = Retirement Can anyone else come up with a clever acronym for Bomber?
  7. Here is the BIG MOVIE!!! <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3goPaTC1SMg"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3goPaTC1SMg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>
  8. We had another great day at The Ghee! Sad to have it be the last day! Johnasmo, DaveB, dredman and Casper Carver, missing twoRavens!!
  9. Looks like we will have Johnasmo, myself, Carver Dave (from Kelly Canyon) and 2 Ravens tomorrow. Should be Carve-a-licious!! See you all there!!
  10. I am amazed!! Passing on Turner for the Targhee! Looks like weather for the Ghee will be very very spring like with tons of sun!! Sqwall guy said he was going to be a No-Show. Drive Fast Take Chances!
  11. Yeppers we will try our best to be there at opening. Better bring a big portable lunch! Riding with Johnasmo is like running a marathon being chased by tigers! He is by my favorite riding buddy and a riot to hang with! I am sure we will bring a mixture of Alpine and freestyle boards so we may be all over the place.
  12. This is it folks. I will be riding Targhee this weekend. My buddy Johnasmo will also be down from Whitefish to ride. Will any of you be around? See you up there on Saturday and Sunday!
  13. No victories for Johnasmo, Sqwallguy or myself. We did have a great time though. It was not weather your Mom would want you out playing in the pond but we did not tell them. Johnasmo had a very short skim - heelside edge hook - swimming in round one. He still had a smile on his face after he changed clothes. Sqwall guy had 2 beautiful crossings but in the 3rd round lost his speed and simply sunk. I made it to the final round then had a bobble that cost me some speed to leave me short of placing. So in the end we all went swimming. We are already plotting for next years event....maybe a Coiler Skimmer?
  14. Morning Pond Skimming Report 30 degrees 1 inch of new snow Snowing 60% chance of more snow. Burr
  15. DrD. That sounds horrible. I hope you heal quickly. If you are going to be up and watch could you shoot some video of the skimming. Once again I hope you heal quickly!
  16. Sounds like you have had a great season! We will be up bright and early to catch one of the first chair 2's!:biggthump
  17. That's right this Saturday is the Pond Skimming event at the Big Fish. Come one, come all! Grand Prize $1000. Last year we had DrD, Sqwall Guy and myself competing. I have confirmed Johnasmo, Sqwall Guy and myself for this years event. DrD are you in? How about West Carvin? Anyone else interested?? I am contemplating trying some different gear this year. The Kemper Aggressor did treat me very well last year. I am thinking either the 176 Prior Pow Stick or the 201 Das Amputator.....Hmmm so many choices... I imagine Sqwall guy will be on his mono-ski. I wonder what Johnasmo is going to bring?? Could it be the Violator? Vlad? Respect? Black Betty? Fish? Little Dredman and I will be headed up Thursday night. So we will see u-all on the hill Friday and Saturday!:biggthump
  18. Looks like Johnasmo hit the 3 million vertical feet snowboarded this winter! Great Work!! Good Ham!
  19. Looks like the Dredman family is out for Saturday. I will (pending roads not being blown shut from IF) be going up on Sunday. See ya at the Gee tomorrow!

  21. Here is a good briefing on .Enjoy <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5y7b2ogs40&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5y7b2ogs40&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
  22. Here is a short of the Pow Stick at work. It is a 23cm waisted version built for hard boots. Nice Very Nice:biggthumpI have ridden it quite a bit this winter. It is a surfy as a Fish but has better stability at speed. It also carves pretty well.
  23. We were successful in sneaking a small quantity of the chowder across the Montana boarder into Idaho. I was very anxious to finish it myself but my long haired boy that skis and eats every 2 hours, gobbled it ALL up before I even got the truck unloaded at home!! Kudos should also go out to Sammy's delicious cookies! They too were wonderful! Mmmmm Sammy cookies! Sammy's brownies rock too!! The highlights of the trip to NW Montana was TURNER!! Friday had 10-12 inches of pow with a total of 52 people at the hill. We had fresh lines from top to bottom all day long! Yes you could ride 2110 vertical feet with your very own untracked line all day long! Saturday brought out the sun and maybe 70 people. Still tons of lines left. John and I had the last chair on Saturday and still found a untouched line for at least 1000 vertical! Turner is always a great time. Great glades, consistent pitch, very nice fall lines, very long runs and very little traversing. They purchased a newer groomer this season and I saw some of the best grooming I had ever seen there. Not compared to Schweitzer or Big but for Turner very fine. I think my son said it best after a long sweet powder run and much more powder in front of us..."Oh my God I just crapped my pants!" Next Adventures...Trenching Targhee Mini-Session March 29-30 then back to the Big Mtn. for Pond Skimming April 5.
  24. As far as I can tell from my schedule now I would say YES I will be there. I have been very impressed with there grooming and/or their powder days! It is a win win place to go. :biggthump:biggthump
