  1. Tony/Gecko might, either way it's from milehighskates.com
  2. I vinyl coated my donek, and was supposed to get some stickers to show the "donek" on the topsheet from sean, but that hasn't happened. I'm just enjoying riding the board, don't care much about the lack of brand representation. Point is, little stuff like this falls through the cracks pretty easily.
  3. I've been making a conscious effort NOT to buy this Need to not spend more money right now!
  4. Also, boots are sized by MP, which is your foot length in CM, rounded down to the nearest whole number. When you figure out your boot size, post a "wanted to buy" add here in the classifieds for those & the bindings (you'll need burton 3 hole compatable ones), also browse the "for sale" area for the same.
  5. Yeah, nothing to worry about. Make sure they snap down snugly, that's all. My fit is the same on snowpro race bindings and deeluxe 325T boots.
  6. Counting down the hours. I do need to get a lighter set of goggles, the light goes FLAT sometimes at sunapee when its snowing.
  7. Reaching for the boot cuff and dropping your hips (not ass) into the turn are the two big drills for me.

  9. EZE, tell me that I can expect more of the firm groomed PP:1luvu: from last week for this Wed?
  10. I may not be any more experienced, but it's easy to see that the rider in these photos is sitting down, bending the knees and waist in the wrong combination, and not getting any angulation on the heelsides
  11. I have added a top buckle to these where they used to just have a strap. The shells are in fully functional condition, and good for a beginner- fairly soft plastic. The extra buckle does stiffen things up noticeably though. I've gone down a size, and upgraded to some T325s. I do have the liners, but they are not thermomold, and they are shot. Boots have lots of the expected scuffs, though nothing too deep. No cracks, etc. Looking for 30 +ship ($30 in lower 48? aprox) Sold!
  12. Two tips that helped me tighten up my heelsides were reaching for my front boot cuff with the back arm (for regular stance, left leg, right hand) and also making a point of dropping my hips into the turn, which really gets the board on edge. Important to remember that this is different from "sitting down" though.
  13. I did mold them, made worlds of difference in my lower foot where I used to have a LOT of pain. I'll go browse tognar for a bit,see what I can find, thanks!
  14. Are the 700T lower volume through the calf? How about the ankle.. I could do with a little more heel hold-down without cranking that buckle all the way tight. Either way its a huge improvement in fit. My socks are already pretty padded in the shin, they're smartwool ski socks. It's nothing unbearable, but they're sore to the touch at the top of the cuff for a day after a day of riding. Did the 700s help here somehow? Shawndoggy, glad this thread helped you! I think at our weight we've got to be careful with board selection until we get quite experienced. the stiffness of even my axis was a stretch for me at the beginning.
  15. Boots are good! I need to do something to take up some volume in the shin area, and hopefully pad it a little more while im at it, I have thin calves & bony shins.. bad combination. As I said I might pick up some BTS also, smooth things out a tiny bit.
  16. These are the tires that just won't sell. I can probably unload them easier in the spring, just trying to clear out the garage. Trades still considered. Continuation of my car stuff for sale off topic-ness, a low-end impact wrench, new in box, unused. Came as part of a kit with a compressor, I got a different impact wrench at the same time. I've had concerns expressed on another forum that it wouldn't even pull off lugs. I doubt this, and I'll happily test it out on a honda, mazda, and subaru if anyone is interested. $25 or trades, though I don't know what you'd have to offer to trade that's that cheap. Local preferred, I also go up to VT/NH a bit.
  17. Update in case anyone feels like they're in a similar situation... I wound up with some used 325 T boots, thermomold liners make a big difference, and the extra stiffness was no problem at my 155 lbs, and I ride them locked in position too. BTS might come later. Despite being light, I'd probably grab some pretty stiff springs with it. Used to the 5 position lean locked in position. I picked up a 172 donek axis, not the FC that I was originally looking for, but I'm quite happy with it. Takes some effort to make it turn at slower speeds, but get it going a bit and it loves to rail into turns. LOTS stiffer than my F2, especially so between the feet, it seems. I had a day of great conditions at sunapee, got to work on the "reach for the opposite boot cuff" drill, also after a bit of that I concentrated on dropping my hips without "sitting" Also got the feel for weighting the board while in carve. Saw some effects of initiating with pressure on the nose and moving my weight backwards throughout the carve. Seems that I can't weight the nose like that in the softer stuff, had a few that just didn't initiate and I went for a nice slide. Can't wait to go back up there, hoping for more conditions like that. Days at okemo and stratton earlier in the season didn't do a lot for me, too much of a powder/ice mix.
  18. Measure your son's foot in CM.. round down. That is the correct MP size.
  19. Wow the snow was good today. I'd go back tomorrow if I didn't have obligations.
  20. Thanks EZE, Mind giving me another update in the evening, since I'll be up around 5am to head up?
  21. Ah, gotta pick it up at Okemo? I had a hell of a time figuring out which of the 3 to pick as my first time too, wound up at stratton. The Okemo card looks cooler :D I'd switch to Okemo with you, but I chose sunnape so I could stop by boston on the way home to meet up with my girl. Have fun!
  22. I'm planning on sunapee tomorrow if you don't have much preference as to the mountain. Hopefuly this rain is snow up there.
  23. Someone please tell me that this rain that we're getting in RI is snow up around sunapee?
