One of the NH resorts were bragging that they were going to make their terrain park using only snow. Ragged Mt. ddi that for a while no rails just spines. I do remeber when PAtrol would pull tickets for jumping. I am glad I'm old enough to resist the lure of the trauma parks.

Under $150 for a homemade setup seems very doable. Grab the bindings that I crossposted (not my listing), check for surplus skins and/or bindings on ebay and skis are the easiest part. Most ski and skate sales have a ton of old skis that would work. The one I help out on throws away a bunch of old skis after the sale that no one shows up for. good luck. - Spencer

Her's a fun fact about China: The peasants and the children of the peasants flocki to work in the factories of southern China are not allowed to go to the schools or get other social services there. China has strict rules on internal migration. So you may be able to sneak down and work under the table but don't expect better for your kids. Okay then, yes people are stupid, and there is such a thing as bad luck, and good form and not falling are the best prevention but... How much more likely is it that a taller, stiffer boot is going to be trouble since you are, theoretically, clamped onto your board anyways. And pretty likely to fall sooner or later. I think I'd like to go to AT boots for backcountry splitboarding next season as my ankles are shot. I'm trying to get a sense of the relative safety of lower v. taller cuffs. If there is any. Hi, Exept for catastrophic binding failures most of the injuries seem to about burying the board nose into soft snow. HAve these injuries occurred mostly on tall, stiff, 4 buckle boots? Would three buckle boots be just low and soft enough to not over tourque the legs? I managed to bury the nose on my freestyle board but had soft stepins and was able flex my way through the ensuing somersault. This sounds a lot like the releasable/non-relaesable binding discussion on telemarktips.com where big boots and nonreleasing bindings are, mostly, acknowledged as a liability. Thanks, Spencer

The Burton Mission GT has the "powerwing". I have the stepin and strap versions. I've found the wings usefull up to about 36*. Between 36 and 45*'s I can tell they are there but by then the width of the board sems to negate the angles as my feet were well inside the board edges. Also with the burtons you can lock the highback so a third strap is always an option. Maybe a booster strap. Every year I think about doing the mods but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Hey, I'd like to trade a pair of medium, men's 8-10, Burton Mission GT strap bindings. Includes the 3 and 4 hole disks, the highback wings and the standard highbacks. Bindings are in excellent condition. They work pretty well with my size 10 Koflach Degre's, I've also used size 10 Ride boots, Size10.5 leather mountain boots and Size 10 burton Driver boots.
