  1. I know all about the Vodka Sea Breezes. Let's just say after a few of those, you'll be flying in the wind or falling to the ground. Which ever comes first.

Regarding the kilt Fin, I strongly suggest you wear that at SES, oh and don't forget the suit either. :P

I also think there should be a workshop called Cocktailing 101 :-)

    Al,

Intereresting. You'll have to show me this next week at the SES. I did do some research on the internet and found some exercises I can do to get ready. I have been doing some liver "stretches" along with "two-fisted" curls. The Captain Morgan Leg Lift has been giving me some issue as I like to wear a kilt when I drink.

My friend Tom L. from Minni-soda will be there and claims "cocktailing" was actually invented my the Vikings. Apparently they could make a wicked Vodka Sea Breaze after a good hard battle.

Let's compare notes when you have some time.

  2. I heard the word cocktailing from a friend and I was like is that what you call it when you been drinking constantly

Hmmmm, never heard the word "cocktailing" used as a verb but I am willing to learn :D

What exactly do you guys do up there for fun on those cold nights?

Most of the time we are usually found at our local watering hole.

  3. Hey Fin,

Thanks for the sympathy and we also look forward to seeing everyone. Thanks for making me the demo tent cop. I was going to ask you about putting me to work. I have to justify my cocktailing. Oh wait no I don't but I still wanted to be involved one way or another.

    Thanks again!

    Felicia,

Sorry for the delay, got your message and Michelle said she had taken care of the SES stuff with you.

I am SO sorry to hear about the injury. But we do look forward to seeing you and Al at the SES next week. You can be my official demo-tent COP. You get to yell at people when they take gear out for too long :angryfire

    See you guys soon!

  4. Hey Dr. D,

I wish I had done it with alcohol, I probably would have ridden for two more days. I rode through most of the pain until it got unbearable, then I cried and got drunk. I will see if the doctor will give me some of that tape though, if I can at least get one day of riding in I would be most happy.

Wow you're one tough carverchick (either that or alcohol is a great analgesic). Carving multiple days on a broken leg. I'll drink to that. Don't rule out the kinesiotape yet, it will come in handy once the bone is healed and you are back in real boots!
  5. Hey Quentin,

I have no problem saving the table ;) Considering my first bloody mary will be poured hopefully by 11am. I need to get legs quick you know :D I'm looking forward to the trip anyhow, but even more so now that I will have drinking buddies :)

P.S. Kimo...Thanks for the offer on the crutches, they ended up fitting me with a pair so it looks like I will be bringing them as well. At least I'll be able to board the plan quicker.....ROFL!

Count me in for a drinking buddy!!!!

2:30 sounds great to me Allee. Being new to carving, thats about when my legs start to give out anyway. Felicia, you save the table....1st round on me

    Cheers,

    Quentin

  6. Hey there Dr. D,

The orthopedic doctor says that if I try snowboarding again on it, I will be in much worse shape the next time. I will ask him about the tape though, but he threatened to cast my leg :|

So for once in my life, I'm going to pay attention to the doctor. Also if you could send me some sombra I would be most appreciative.

    I can't find it online :(

  7. Hey Michelle...Are we still planning on going on a margarita pub crawl? If so, I hope to not be wearing an immobilzer, but something tells me I will.

We'll need a big strong DD to transport us around town and to help my crippled butt into the vehicle. Did we decide who would be our DD?

The other Mexican place serves Mango margaritas...... YUMMMM

I think if this goes down we will be hitting ALL the places in Aspen. YAHOO - look out!

  8. I think Bordy and cfj04 oh and Thor should hang with the girls and be our honorary drinking boys. I know I'm starting something here, but misery loves company. I know I'm going to be in trouble!

    Wait....I'm so not misery :P

I also think we should do drunk country karaoke, in retro snowboard attire. ROFL

If you're gonna start the morning drinking, start as you mean to go on. Champers all the way, baby.

I still remember the wine tasting I went on in New Zealand with my friend Kim. We started with 7 am champagne breakfast at Cellier Le Brun and went from there, but she ran out of legs by 2 pm and went to sleep on the couch at Nautilus. Some people have no staying power!

Bordy sounds like a fun guy to drink with, tho!

  9. Hey Allee, why can you have champers with OJ? Mamosa's (sp?) are very yummy 1st thing in the morning.

Last time I got hammered, I put my leopard print gloves on and started touching everyones face with them. That's probably the extent of being a bad girl for me. :eplus2:

Drunk karaoke or drunk bowling now that's funny right thur.

  10. Well considering I may not be able to ride this year, the next best thing to riding is drinking. I still hope to get out for a run or two, I'm going to the doctors later today to see what they tell me. Otherwise like Toby Keith says "I'm gonna get my drink on"!

Even though Fin begged my to come to SES last year I was busy having my ACL repaired. So I was not around.

I look foward to making up for last year absence with twice the drinking this year!!!:D:D

who knows I may even snowboard while we are there.:barf: unless I feel like this.....

SES the other other reason to drink:eek:

  11. Well considering I didn't get a chance to meet you last year Bordy, I look forward to us cocktailing together. I'm never on my best behaviour even when the boyfriend is around. LOL I'm just joking! I'm a happy drunk, I want everyone to be loved, and everything to be pink and sparkly.

To keep on par with my proformance at all carving get togethers. I hope to be drunk by 2:30 so if you girls need some one to drink with I am way ahead of ya!:)

My wife was hoping to come this year but can't so I will not be on my best behaviour:eplus2:

You drink you drink you drink: no fall even if its iceee..........

  12. Thankies Allee! I'm really feeling some love now :1luvu:

I'm going to Urgent care today and have then take xrays and stuff. Hopefully we can get this fixed and at least I'll be able to ride for a little while.

    Wish me luck!

I'll drink with you, Felicia - I consider 2.30pm to be a very civilised time to be off the hill and in the bar :D
  13. Thanks for the tips Bola. I've been using Arnica, alternating between using Ice and My Chiro even suggested I start taking anything that helps grow bones. I will call my Chiro today to see if he knows about Sombra, if not where can I get some?

Look into the Arnica-based products from these Boulder CO company. I know they work wonders. While at it, see if you can get your hands on Sombra, your Chiro may be able to help if not let me know.

  14. Well I have suffered a high ankle fracture back on Christmas Eve day, but instead of going to the doctor immediately, I continued to ride for 5 more days. By day 6 I was in so much pain, I had no choice but to quit. So when I go back home, I finally went to the doctor and he told me I tore some muscles and fractured my fibula.

So I was wearing an immobilizer for 4 weeks, before going to Lake Tahoe last weekend. I rode all day Saturday and part of Sunday. Now my ankle has started to swell and it hurts to walk. So now I'm not quite sure if I will be able to ride.

    Any suggestions?

  15. Ok so I'm still stoked about going to SES, but it looks like I will not be able to do much riding. I re-injured my leg, it's inflammed and hurts a lot. So I guess I'll have to sit on the sidelines and watch everyone. :(

Say a prayer for me, maybe just maybe I'll be able to get out at least once.

    *Sigh*

    Stupid high ankle fracture!!!
