  5. Their web site is supposedly under construction and these are available via phone or e-mail. They also threw in a sample pack of "Race Paste" high fluro past wax and a cool "Test Pilot" black on chrome oval sticker 1-1/4" x 4-1/2". "Clear Cut Stomp Pad" measures 5-3/4" wide x 8" long and no thicker than a credit card with a light surface texture; kind of like a 120 grit.
  6. Bob J's tip to lube your heel receiver with Pedro's Syn grease will reduce wear and extend the life. I try to clean off the old lube and apply a dab of new each time I ride, it helps!! Yyz (Capt. Morgan) also suggested to burnish or polish the pins to remove any burrs.

  10. At least on the Rossi 184 - Both Joel and George expermented with this in Aspen and found the sweet spot was to set the front binding as for forward as the inserts allowed. I subsequently tried it and have to agree with their findings.

  15. Burlington, VT (Friday, December 9, 2005) - Kicking off the winter sports season, wireless communications manufacturer Motorola Inc. and Burton Snowboards today announced the commercial availability of the Bluetooth-enabled Audex Jacket Series. The new Audex jacket allows skiers and snowboarders to experience seamless connectivity - at the touch of a button - from one environment to the next. The product was jointly developed by Motorola and Burton to bring wearable technology to active consumers. "It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the commercial availability of the Audex Jacket Series," said Bruce Hawver, VP and Director, Companion Products Group, Motorola, Inc. "Whether you're an amateur rider or professional, this jacket equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology will change the way you connect - on and off the slopes." "Music and technology are a huge part of the snowboard culture," says Bryan Johnston, Burton's VP of Global Marketing. "The Audex line makes it easier than ever to listen to music and pick up calls whether you're riding up the lift or grabbing a taxi downtown." The Audex jacket line is a combination of Bluetooth Wireless technology from Motorola and Burton snowboarding gear, resulting in outerwear that acts as the control center for handsfree communication and entertainment while on the slopes ... or wherever a consumer may go. At the center of the Audex jacket is a control panel located on the left- hand sleeve, allowing for simple and easy access to your incoming and outgoing calls, and music selections. Connect a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to the panel wirelessly, while hooking up your iPod player via hidden, unobtrusive wires within the jacket. Speakers and a microphone are located in the hood for taking and making calls as well as listening to music. The Audex jacket is the first in a line of products co-developed by Motorola and Burton. The next products, the Audex Protective Gear, will be available starting in 2006. The gear includes the Audex Helmet and Audex Padded Hat, both equipped with Bluetooth stereo headphones, featuring easy-to-use control buttons for convenient and wireless on-the-go talking or listening to music. The Bluetooth-enabled Audex Jacket Series is now available online at www.burton.com and Burton specialty shops. Prices start at $599.95 for the jacket
  16. Randy - I have on my boards what you are looking for. The problem may be in getting more of them. I was able to buy a few last season and at the time I was asked how many boxes did I want? I like these as they do no interfere when packing for travel or need to be removed when its time to have a base grind. Labeled as "clear stomp pad . . . transparent traction". Cliff Ahumada turned me on to these. These were sold by Test-Pilot www.testpilotgear.com and they are not shown on their web site. I sent an e-mail late yesterday and if I do not get a reply today I will give them a call and post up their reply. Otherwise, you may have to consider some rubber ducky "no-slip" bath tub appliques http://www.alwaysbrilliant.com/aa/aspx-productpage/pid-641/dt-20051203/dpc-19/pd-42417/Tub/&/bb/Tub_&_Tile_Appliques.htm
  17. I also have a pair of Smith Sliders but they are a bit snug and I could use the wind blockage to reducing the tearing effect but I do like the ability to change out the lenses. Will have to see how the foam stands up although I have a few pair of old goggles with foam intact.
  18. http://www.panoptx.com/ Joel P. showed me these a few years ago, great for snow, cycle and bike sports as they have a foam piece around the frame to block wind. I have not been able to find locally. They have a close out section from their on line store and one model (Gust Lite) to fit large heads! Closeout priced @ $39.99 Had problems ordering on line, so I phoned in the order 925-484-0292 - No problem. Via phone, they offered standard 3 day shipping @ $10; only overnight and 2 day express were offered on line.
  19. 2006 Summit Expression Session Feb. 11-17th, Aspen, CO Fly direct to Aspen (ASE) from California. I have heard June Mt is pretty sweet too.
  20. Side Cut is 15 Fast and somewhat stiff, I will look for more spec/info at home tonight. I seem to recall the inserts are aft of center on this board and the "sweet spot" was to mount the front binding in the furthest north inserts (most forward).
