  1. In blue the clip modifications that helps you in locking. The "one hand locking setup" should be done without using the rope! In red the holes with different size and shape for left an right and the word "inside" which has to be between the feet .
  2. I'm 196cm x 264 lbs and never broke a Burton Race in 20 year. I'm not an aggressive carver but I'm so out of standard in weight. It's so important how do you set them up. You could find numbers on the plastic part and they should be more or less the same to get a centered boot. You should be able to close the clip with just one hand.Have a look at the binding upside down, the screws must not overhang if the do for small amount use washers or you are going to scratch your board. Place a thin rubber gasket under the binding such as a cutted from an inner tube. Look at the bindings upside down there are different one for left foot one for right foot. As soon as I can I'll post some pictures
  3. Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-SHOE-REPAIR-DIY-SUPER-STRONG-GLUE-tubes-PROMO-PACK-/220746589701?pt=UK_Clothing_ShoeCare_Shoe_Care_LE&hash=item336585a605#ht_792wt_952
  4. I have a friend with the same problem and he solved gluing with mastic.
  5. You could find Marc between the guys on this forum.:)
  6. Obviously after that Sean spoke there is nothing technic to add. Rumors use to say that is very important who is the builder of metal boards because unfortunately they tends to delaminate. I could only speak about the surely long tested boards that has no problems that as I've heard are Donek and Tropical Tube for other boards I cannot / don't want to say a word in a direction or the other.
  7. They are Virus oriented guys. the problem is that you must know german and using Google Chrome will not help you!
  8. Here you could find and endless post on hard videos http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4972
  9. Started in 1987 with my still have Burton Cruzer 168 and still learning. :-)
  10. Hi Jack I could say that more or less the words "Bomber Style" is something that I've invented during endless posts on the italian part of the Extreme Carving Forum, specifically intending what I've read on your articles. There were a bit of confusion between what was called classic style, race style, french style, swiss style etc You know, italians talks so much. :-) So as said for us nowdays when we speak about styles, we more or less agree to use three main styles. Extreme Carving or Eurocarving, before Swiss Style with rotation and push pull. Bomber Style, shoulder leveled to the ground more frontal position of the body a lot of leg work up and down, please correct me if I'm wrong. Race style or Classic style, shoulder leveled with the board and in line with the hips which has in Italy two main masters Pisoni more classic and powerful, Rabanser more innovative and smooth more close to the teachings from my friend Marc Cirigliano who's book in my opinion is a must read for every hardbooter and who's Youtube channel is something to watch and study again and again.
  11. As said Maybe he uses F2 clip because(sorry Fin), aluminium clips wears out the boot and that are italian hard to find NW .950!
  12. I use Cox Swain mittens http://www.ebay.de/itm/COX-SWAIN-Handschuhe-Faustlinge-Kevlar-Thinsulate-Youngtec-/220893883812?pt=Sport_Alle_Sportbekleidung&var=&hash=item7915b5df1c#ht_3668wt_1139 they keep my hands much warmer than normal gloves and kevlar makes them quite more hard to rip.
  13. In Italy almost everybody use form 3 to 10 degrees difference. Pureboarding athletes use even more.
  14. I've spoke with Sigi the last week and he told me that he use a pair of TD3 Sidewinder modified. He uses for racing NW .950 At Jack no, it's my fault because I'm not that able to report what he is trying to teach me, but surely he doesn't promote to bend over at the waist and reaching down for the snow. More or less here
  15. Here http://www.alpinecarving.com/binding_setup.html they say that was sold by Sigi, maybe Grabner , try to ask them.
  16. I have read you very interesting The Toeside Problem and tryed to apply to my surfing. I have found it very useful and less force is needed. Lot of people in Italy told me that using that tecnique will put a lot of force on my hips and put me in a position that if I'll find something unexpected on the slope it could be very difficult to manage. Nowadays top teachers in Italy(Rabanser and Pisoni ) say not to level any more the shoulder with the ground but with the board, and this would help to put the board on edge and so to have a better edge grip. Rabanser(tried :o) teached me to project my body into the turn and after the board is on the edge start to flex my knees and ankles, maintaining the legs flexed but not fully bent because if you find something on your course and you are fully bended you cannot bend any more like an end run suspension. Just two different style? Sorry for my english.
  17. Maybe I can use this plates and transform my bindings in an almost TD3?
  18. Don't go too thick with too soft material or you are going to stress the inserts too much
