I think riding with a "wingman" is always a good idea Record for blind skier: 100 mph http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2006/04/blind_skier_set.html Go that way, really fast; if something gets in your way . . . turn.

Head's Up KNOW THE CODE. IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Your Responsibility Code Skiing can be enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, telemark, cross country and other specialized ski equipment, such as that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience. Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely. KNOW THE CODE. IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. This is a partial list. Be safety conscious. Officially endorsed by: NATIONAL SKI AREAS ASSOCIATION.

I love it when you talk like that. I was thinking the BTS were like the front forks/shocks on a motorcycle. not just the springs but they have a setting for how much recoil there is after they're loaded up. I probably have no idea what I'm talking about since I don't have BTS, yet. I've played around with rebound settings and steering dampeners on a dirtbike but I guess it's much different because you're trying to stiffen the steering without losing too much control. Maybe that's that's the future, gas shocks in your boots. edit: I think he might be a watch guy, and (low voice) I think he's with the Feds http://www.panerai.com/s_storia.xpd?mode=read_item&id_lingua=2&id_sezione=2&id_item=53&anno=1860 not that there's anything wrong with that, of course

bump for a wicked old thread I just stumbled over, says jack's into....Phish, wow. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=965&highlight=rancid and rawking out on the chairlift and acting (milding) like a kook is good fun, esp when you've got a couple yurts flappin their gums about something annoying. then, stealthily turn off yer earbuds and continue to bob yer head and see if they talk about ya. happy music:) I love the jack johnson,donavon , g love etc etc <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMO3iLq_kAU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMO3iLq_kAU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkHTsc9PU2A&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkHTsc9PU2A&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

gecko's talking about Nordicas. I still run SBHs because they're so comfy and great for freeriding, nice and soft and forgiving, made for my wide feet. http://www.alpinecarving.com/boot_models.html My new Head Stratos need to be dialed in, footbeds etc. The thermoform (flex ?) liners mold to your feet but I've never had them. Stiffer race boots are great for better performance but they tire out my dogs a lot faster. hope that helps, read that boot write, good beta Brad http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=18195&highlight=nordica

the boots are made to have some latral flex unlike ski boots that flex forward. There's a bunch of cool toys to add on like BTS springs that act like a shock absorber to control flex and rebound dampening. The new bindings look sick, too. Most of us run cant wedges under the bindings to improve the angle of attack on the board. Edges, bevels, wax and base tuning are really important to make your sled rip.New metal technology is pushing the board performance to insane levels. alpine is like building a race car, you've go to dial it all in and stomp on the gas if you want it to perform. http://www.bomberonline.com/store/boots/BTS_kit.cfm http://www.bomberonline.com/store/bindings/td3_standard.cfm guys, correct me here if my pseudo tech knowledge is off

Dakine roller bag - High Roller vs. Low Roller
willywhit replied to BadBrad's topic in Carving Central
gotta say, Dakine makes the best all around bags for gear. I scored one of these for christmas a few years ago, love it. Not good for travelling long distance on planes but great for weekends etc. Boots in the bottom, everything else up top. the Dakine Boot Locker also includes a tarp liner inside the boot compartment that doubles as a changing mat. http://www.altrec.com/dakine/boot-locker-bag?cm_mmc=Mercent-_-NexTag-_-DaKine-_-26556-B&mr:referralID=7e780bf3-c1fa-11dd-a8aa-000423bb4e95 -
putting this one on the christmas wish list

Dakine roller bag - High Roller vs. Low Roller
willywhit replied to BadBrad's topic in Carving Central
there's a wealth of knowledge here on BOL http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=13432&highlight=dakine+concourse&page=2 http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=12628&highlight=dakine+concourse the Dakine Concourse is a bombproof bag, if they run them again on SAC for $40, I'm getting another one for kite gear. -
