6 inches plus of nice fluffy powder. A little crowded (@#%$$ canadians:D ) hero groomers until they became tracked up later in the day. I rode the 4807 some and had a blast. The groomers were a little choppy in the afternoon so the DONEK amputator seemed to be a bad idea:lol: I carved the GARAGE until they shut down the summit for the night. BEST day so far. looks like the winter is officialy on!!!! Oh yeah and the fog is mysteriously absent this year for some reason. not complaining mind you:freak3:

I have been exiled to Nebraska for the last ten days so I haven't been up in a while. It is raining in the valley but the snow line is low enough it ought to be fantastic. I will be up there tomorrow to find out. The snow we have had is early and great but not providing complete coverage. there have been two good snows since I was up there though. http://www.bigmtn.com/index.php?a=sr/main
  5. If they speak portugeuse they usually have a phenomenal trunk:biggthump I gotta say though, Test drive only !!!!!! Do not take this one home they are impossible to get rid of. It takes months and lots of misery.

    ssshhhhhhh he'll hear you!
  8. they definitely swell/shrink a little ofter molding. I am going with the extra sock method making them too big and then letting them shrink
  9. Foundations of our society that are rapidly being lost. :( Nuff said
  10. They seem to be closely aligned subjects all right. I made the distinction only because the organic thing is going mainstream with more and more products in the regular grocery stores. When the market starts shifting that way I guarantee that some companies truth in labeling will slip a little. There is a lot of implied goodness in the new labeling laws that has no bearing on reality. So just a reminder to read and ask questions when you choose your products.
  11. I remolded them with extra thick socks on and wore them for 2 hours. I then wore normal socks on the hill. no pain so far. I also added a toe cup for extra toe room it seemed to work well. I really wrapped them around the foot this time to. I think I got better overlap in the tongue area. feels good:biggthump
  12. first ride up the chair pain. no exercise involved
  13. heating them enough might be a consideration. although like I said they fit great when I did it and the night before I wore them last. It was when they got cold that I had a problem
  14. Who the heck climbs MT hood in December and why? I don't go up the mountain behind my house without enough gear to survive a week. That kim guy decides to go for help and leaves the vehicle half naked. He could have cut up the seats and made boots out of the foam and upholstry. he could have walked out the road he drove in on. I think he got brain freeze literally before he ever left the truck. Hypothermia will make you do some wierd stuff but why leave the vehicle? For those of you who live in the city and come to visit. pack your vehicle for winter driving. extra clothes blankets fire starter some nonperishable food a shovel chains boots snow pants or better yet wool pants water these are basic and in the car all winter out west. maybe not in seattle but certainly anywhere in Montana idaho wyoming colorado etc. the mountains are beautiful cruel unforgiving bitches in the winter. Some of them are that way in the summer. If in doubt ask a local or two and believe them when they talk. Oh yeah and wild animals don't like having their picture taken with your children:freak3: no really! I mean it! its a bad idea:smashfrea
  15. He'll treat you right and you'll have a better repair than the local shop would do. If he wasn't good people we'd bully him into it anyway:biggthump whip out the power of bomber!
  16. IT doesn't take long obviously since I molded these about 3 weeks ago. I hate to mold them more than necessary. Someone said if you can tough it out for three days they will be great but this time around I couldn't make it to the top of the chair without dying. thin socks and try again tomorrow. so far this year my softies have won the day.
  17. ITs gotta be temperature related cause its definitely worse when its colder.
  18. anyone else have trouble with the intuitions fitting like a glove at home walking around with no problems etc. then putting them on at the hill and they feel 2 sizes smaller and hurt like hell by the time you get to the top of the chair? I am pulling my hair out here. I am about to mold them again with really thick socks and then wear thin ones on the hill. Its gotta be a temperature thing. kind of hard to drive in them though. I am going to wear just the liners in the am tomorrow and then run the heater onthe shells before I put them on and see how it goes.
  19. I like the nibs alone they have a funny nutty taste. they are even better when mixed with Goji (wolf) berries. You can get them dried and a handful of the berries and one of the nibs is a great pick me up! they are also good in trail mix. bake the nibs into brownies and cookies mmmmmm
  20. what angle are you looking for? these are burton three hole solid cants. I have a three and a six or seven. Also on the unicant thing you can firm them up a bit by shimming under the toe and heel area of your binding with a layer of stomp pad foam or thin rubber etc. this allows the binding to pull up on the upper part of the cant tightening that annoying slop.
  21. Point of clarification. Organic refers to it being chemical and pesticide free. Fair trade refers to the practice of not exploiting workers. Organic does not necessarily implie fair trade. That said Dagoba is both and an excellent chocolate to boot. try the dark chocolate with chile its really good and not exactly what you would expect. Green and Blacks is another excellent choice:biggthump
  22. I can't believe this is still a topic of conversation today! Obviously a lack of snow is not the only thing keeping people glued to their monitors! Go ride or go teabag someone already:biggthump :biggthump Oh and for the dirty sanchez's among us, that might have something to do with why you have so much computer time on your hands:lol:
  23. SOmething wierd happened when Donek posted the last time and now the thread no longer functions. Donek try to repost it here please. I can see all the numbers and sort of figure it out but the alignment is off and I can't get it to print to compare to the website so I am unsure of the measurements. ALso could you elaborate on the construction a little. I know that mine is quite thick at the waist and has some kind of hvy material in the binding area.

The first post has been edited to reflect what is left and new lower prices. Just go back to the top of the thread and read the first post. It seemed easier than retyping everything:biggthump
