I have read that burton wind boots are relatively the same stiffness as the newer boots. Having owned several wind and reactor boots, I was always happy with the stiffness. I think these are as stiff as my reactors ever were. Without the mechanisms for forward lean, the boots are much lighter as well. The liners were cold and difficult, but my newer liners have improved this a lot.
Not sure I would say these are as good as new boots, but I am surprised at how good they deliver the power to the edge. Needless to say I am impressed that 20 year old boots can still deliver. Mine are listed as a euro 8 and felt like a 8.5. With the molded liners they are close to a 9 now. Kinda cool vintage....
