  1. Hey Jeff! Great to see you re-surface here! I actually bought the Incline from a dude. Its pretty surfy looking, and yes, its a lotus flower. I won't lie, its a pretty board, but in a cool way, not a chick way...does that make any sense???

  2. You're probably not doing anything wrong... it's all about foot shape and boot last.

Agreed 100%. Other contributing factors to fitting a boot correctly, which does not seem to be mentioned above, is a persons flexibility. If you have a very flexible ankle joint and foot, this will change the way a boot fits you dramatically. Meaning, if your foot is very flexible, this can cause the foot to spread and change shape upon weight distribution. If that same foot is supported correctly on a good foot bed, it may enable the user to downsize 1-2 sizes very comfortably. Before taking recommendations here on what the correct boot is for you, you should always visit a good boot-fitter, to determine these factors correctly.

  3. I would like to shred with you ladies! I'm out during USASA Nationals; otherwise I am on the East Coast!:1luvu:

HillB, anytime you can get up to Stratton, send me an email, and we can hook up for some turns. You should also try to make it to ECES for at least a few days. Dates are not fully set yet, but looking at last week in February. Keep an eye for dates, as we will be posting by June hopefully.

Again, I'm definately up for staying a few days after USASA Nationals. I'm pretty much done w/work by then, and won't have to fly twice in a season ($$$).

You and Steph can ride circles around the rest of us, and we can teach you some bad habits! :-)

Thanks for the props Kelly, however I've definately got my share of bad habits;) I'd be happy to share them everyone:lol:

  4. You'll have to come to Whistler in May, then. WES = Whistler Expression Session. We've been using this acronym for 6-7 years now.

With so many acronyms these days, its hard to keep track. Whistler would be lovely though:cool:

Some great ideas going on here. I'd love to get out there for a Women's Carve Session. Next season I've got ECES (end of february'ish) and Nationals at Copper (april). Can I convice anyone to come to ECES????

  5. I am at Copper. We have our tix already for the week (included in our nationals registration). I think Alex booked us for cat riding on Sunday already, so Loveland would be out for me (although it sounds like much fun). I'd love to hook w/you both on Monday though. Seriously, it will be nice to ride w/the girls and I'm already looking forward to this!!

  6. Angie is really good at giving me advice on the hill, which is a huge benefit of riding with another girl. :)

Maybe both of you ladies want to make some turns with me at Copper in 2 weeks. Not sure if Angie will be there, but it would be fun. I love the opportunity to ride w/other women. It's rare that I get that!

  7. Alex & I will be there. We are both racing in (legend), which will race on Tuesday & Wednesday. Noah, we would love to meet up for a gathering one night. Just keep us posted.

Michelle, we would love to come tour the shop. I will definitely call or email to schedule, if we can get there.

  8. Unlike some crazy chicks I know

Who are you calling crazy?? All us carver chicks are crazy:lol:

I agree with Two_Ravens to some extent on equipment being a hindering factor. However, if you don't have good riding technique (body mechanics) to begin with, the equipment is not going to hide that. Also, reading the "Toe-Side problem" article is a great resource.

Daneille, next time you head out to the hill, try a practice drill. On both heel and toe side turn initiation, reach for the downhill edge of the board. Really over exagerate the motion, without bending at the waist (think compression/extension). You should notice that the edge will set much quicker and hold. I know that this little bit of advice helped my riding tremendously, as I had the same issue. Does this make sense?? I hope this helps.
