  1. I want at least one day at The Canyons too, you know, since I have a pass and all. BILLY, went ridding today for a couple hours, would have called you but it was pretty last minute. My brother met up with me and it was all good. After finals lets ride for a day or two, I have to go in for surgery on the 19th and will be off the slopes for a week. SKULLY, you ride at The Canyons right? Drop me a line if you want someone to ride with. Eddie
  2. Custom Burton FP; not made for me. Yea, the placemats on the table are kinda funny. Eddie
  3. Here is a crapy picture but maybe it will give you a better idea. All I can think of over the phone was surf jargon and sometimes I don't give good discriptions. Health update: Not an ear infection, they are going to drill the bone out to open my ears again. Dizzyness and sinus pressure are gone thanks to a precription, so, Friday afternoon I will be ready to ride; something;) Eddie

  5. I only wish that it was the bone that was growing in, the fixing it would be a matter of cutting the skin and grinding the bone down. I have a problem similar to that, where the ear infections were so persistent and bad but it is scar tissue closing the ear and trapping water. I have lost much of my ability to hear due to inner ear damage. I did use a hood but it helped trap the water in my ear thus creating more problems. I am not currently surfing but I miss it everyday. Eddie
  6. Bill, I went to The Canyons today and, after some lady knocked my board into someone elses equipment, I was checking the rails and noticed that near the tail on my healside rail there was a crack in the rail and it was seperated a little from the sidewall. I don't think the lady did it because it was the edge near the nose landed on someone elses equipment. All I want to know is can it be fixed? I don't blame anyone because heaven knows I can do far worse to a board in a short amount of time.;) Off the subject, I was sick with bronchitis the last ten days and ended up losing about ten pounds the first four. I went to the doctor and he noticed all the damage to my ears from surfing and told me my right ear has totally closed up from the respiratory infection and that's why my equilibrium is out of wack. I am off to an ENT specialists tomorrow and hopefully he can fix me so I can enjoy the snow soon.:D Eddie
  7. My helmet has saved my life at least once. I have one that has removable ear flaps and most of the time I ride without them so I can hear anyone that I might not have seen. Eddie
  8. If you want to stay at a place that is affiliated with one or more resorts, then Park City is the answer. If you want to save some money and get to many resorts in the same amount of driving time, Midvale (which is in the Salt Lake Valley) is a good choice because you can get to Park City, Big Cottonwood Canyon, and Little Cotton Canyon resorts in about 20-30 minutes. I assure you of this because I live a little east of Midvale and enjoy this benefit. Powder Mountain and Snowbasin are close to Ogden but that is about an hour from the Park City and Salt Lake City area resorts. I advise the Salt Lake area, not for the night life, but for the convience of access to most resorts and the ability to find something relatively inexpensive. Eddie
  9. Salt Lake City- The place lives up to its name for being about an hour from most resorts. Eddie
  10. When I was out ridding today, at times I felt a little weird like my feet were a little too close. When I was beginning a healside turn, I tried utilize the cant to drive the edge, but, to really get it to hook I felt I was leaning to far foreward that it decreased my stablity. I felt that to get the power in the turn I was barely on my back foot and both knees were just about side by side. Then, when I came home I measured the stance on my Rossi and found that I ride the plates 19" apart. I have changed the cateks to almost 19" apart, put on my boots and it feels a bit better. My questions are: With the addition of cant and lift, would it be beneficial for me to go wider than 19"? Or, was it just my technique that was wrong? I think I was leaning so far foreward because I am use to shifting my weight that far. Again, once I found that sweet spot, the board would hook just so damn good, you blink and I was gone! Eddie
  11. The most popular choices for the WTC have been made, now, HOW MANY DAYS DO WE RIDE? The most voted resorts are the following: Park City Resort, The Canyons, and Snowbasin. I assume at least three days for the WTC to ride all of them but DO WE NEED MORE DAY(S) to ride more? Let your opinion be heard:D Eddie
  12. Yea, yea, yea. Billy just couldn't stop bragging about that infamous trip to Deer Valley while we were boarding last season.;) Eddie
  13. Still thinking about a new name for Hardbooter's Ball. How about The Hardboot Brotherhood. Eddie
  14. Vote for where you want to ride. Any other ideas?
  15. I first learned to carve on the downhill edge by finding a steep hill and use carving as my only means of slowing down. I love being a carve junkie. Eddie
  16. Heaven knows I could use a cheep day pass. I'm broke.;) Eddie
  17. I agree on the date. Now where to carve? Maybe it is time to start a poll about which resorts do we all want to go and ride at. Eddie
  18. I talked to my wife about the SES and to my suprise, she sounded like she supports it (kinda). But brother, it will come down to this: SES or UES and I am leaning toward the Utah brotherhood. I have too much to dream about. Eddie
  19. I heard the story from my little bro that Summit purchased Bear. He is a crazy jibber but got tired of the crowds; I convinced him to move up here to the holy land and now I try to convert him from his sins. Repentence through hardboots.;) Eddie
  20. Let us know when your hardboot retail is set up so we support fellow utah hardbooters. You know, we could by things or if you have a store we could hang out all the time wishing we had the money.:p Eddie
  21. Woooooooo hoooooooooooooooo! Just venting some excitement. Eddie
  22. Where does your brother ride at? He can ride with any of us and thus would have no excuse to not carve. Where are you carving at Bear, Summit, Mt. (gettin') High, or dare I say Baldy? I used to ride at all of them but I got tired of the crowds. Eddie
  23. I have some time between diggin' through the trash for lunch to check out bomber.
  24. I was just wondering who was all going to be at the benefit day next friday and for how long. I will be there but not till about 12:30ish and want to see a few other carvers out there with me. Eddie
  25. I try hard to schedule work and school around carving in the winter. Eddie
