ar(angel
hoping to get mine sometime in January. Between Burners, surfing and kids sounds like you and I could swap some good stories. Too bad we don't live closer, I'd buy you a beer and we could compare Virus thoughts after a good days riding! Keep me posted on how yours performs, who knows maybe one of these years we'll meet at SES, Thanks, Paul
Ray
162/17.5 Rocket… Built with mostly the standard high quality components... plus some carbon fiber enforcements… Flat white top sheet with red sidewalls and black base… The Virus special edition UPZ boots… These have a softer tongue now… I did not try them yet, but from testing at home, they feel really great. Defiantly softer now. I had big issues with the red ones… way to stiff for my taste. added cut in the tongue to distribute pressure a little better… I also like the fact they are black now… My Black Death with the “no wax base” arrived as well but it’s sent to PTC already :D … pics later when I have it back... philfell
Phil:How was ripping on that thing, if I may ask? Just looked over titanal top-sheet phantom world cup edition we have on the wall. What an amazing machine? I hope it does not sit here too long, someone should buy it before I get tempted. :D Bola www.allboardssports.com I didn't get to ride it. I have been at the Jeep King of the Mt. in Crested Butte. The Titinal Virui (plural for Virus?) belonged to Lukas Grunner, he won the seeding run, but was knock out in the first round be Dieter Krassnag. Like I said the board looked very good under his feet, and it wasn't that skinny at the waist.
philfell
Not to bring up the flame war that has been going on in this thread about a company emailing, I just wanted to add a comment. Some people said how Virus was a small company (like most all snowboard companies who make carving equipment) at that they don't have the time to respond to everyones email because they are so small. Honestly how long does it take to write an email three minutes, being a small niche company I don't think they get a huge volume on email to start with.? Personally I would never drop that sum of money on a snowboard without talking with the board builder first. That's all I had, carry on. Frank Morales
Ray Nice board & Boots. What have you been getting edges set at PTC. I got 1-3 on my madds and it worked out great .I'm also sending my Stealth to PTC. Frank
nils
well just to give you an example, I receive about 20-30 emails per day regarding orders sometimes. Some need an answer, some don't, but basically, you can count at least on 2 hours per day because of that ( answering, processing the order, sending invoices etc...) So if you are a small company with no secretary to handle that work, you are basically taking 10 hours minimum per week from production. hence the choice, or sorry: the non choice of sometimes missing an email, or beeing late to answer it etc. And we are at least 10 times smaller than Virus when it comes to orders etc: he deals with many shops, shows, meetings, racers etc... kamran
Ray, I don't know. Without the sun I am missing the vicious look of the virus (I was even considering putting a virus sun on the back of my titan, but I didn't wanna be called names on this forum,...so I didn't ) Let me know how the 'no weax base' works, I am holding off my order to figure out whether this is something I'd consider. bobdea, Sorry if I misunderstood you.
