BlueB
Ahaha, I remember the Decapitator thread! Was it Finn who created it? Jokes aside, I think those would inevitably reach the point of plastic deformation easily.
Jack M
@BlueB, nope, twas me. Click the link! I agree it seems these skis are just asking to be bent. Would be a quick way to watch $5000 disappear.
Neil Gendzwill
Hey look, Beta Tester #7 said they were very smooth and precise. If you can't trust Beta Tester #7, who can you trust?
st_lupo
If you look on github, they have the database for the whole site. Apparently Beta tester #15 commented that his left binding pulled out because helicoils weren’t installed in the ski and that icing between the ribbing of the right ski was horrible because of missing surface treatment. He recommended they stop using Spirit Aerospace Systems as the manufacturer. (Do I need to put a satire disclaimer on this?) Otherwise, it looks like somebody is trying to monetize their mechanical engineering student project?

But probably the customer base will not be the most demanding for performance. They will be great conversation starters in the lift line!
TimW
Today is the day: https://m1skis.com/blogs/the-line/experience-the-first-public-unveiling-of-m1-skis They started with a snowboard! I'd guess the torsional noodlility was an issue. https://m1skis.com/pages/about-us
