Opening day is this Saturday. They blew enough snow to open the ribbon of death as I refer to it as. Will probably go up, get my pass straight, make sure the beer is cold, then maybe dodge some gapers after that. All in a days work......lololol.

Rode with kram on Monday he was riding a Kessler I was on my donek legacy. Smiles were real big egos even bigger so the slope threw us on our heads. Love beginning of season slope was better than I ever would have thought not even a rock to be found

Well a repeat of Monday but Wednesday  rode with kram he was on his Kessler I rode my rock board it was stashed on mtn and forgot to grab my board bag in the morning. Krpam and I spent less time upside down, board angst way less, sunny and nice. Life sure is good as a alpine snowboarder....

Went up after the rain event inspected damages we are going to be ok. We do need more snow so the resort can open more chairs and terrain. Carving still is ok in between all the people

So the mtn is opening up the new chair they just installed this summer so kram, boardski, Tanya and I will make ruts for the general public......you've been forewarned. See you in the morning

Now we have the great escape quad loading now too so 3 chairs is better than 1 chair. I had to work driving shuttle so only had lunch up there. Kram was caught red handed soft booting I won't tell anyone.

Looks like you finally got some snow.  I'm getting a $169 spring-fling pass and plan to be there next week. Gonna be visiting Thirst international headquarters and tour the factory. Looks like it will be full-on spring weather by then. Should be good, right? Maybe frozen groom in the morning, slush in the afternoon?

1st day on the mountain. Temps are close to freezing overnight and up into the 50's and sunny.

Bunch of carvers on the hill today. Mark and I had some fun at the end of the day making trenches with the 9sw's.

Day 2   same weather as yesterday

I followed Mark and Annie on a tour of the mountain today. Warm and slushy on the front side, a little harder on the backside which softened pretty quick. Steep sections got moguled up pretty fast when the snow got warm.

Ran into Dane in the parking lot when we stopped for a board change (we brought a bunch of boards) and found Russ on the backside a little later.

A fun day.

Didn’t see a thread for Schweitzer 24/25, so posting here…

Park City snow is sucking pretty bad for pre-xmas 2024. So now planning a trip to Schweitzer for Xmas and a couple days after.  Any other carvers going to be around?

Depends a bit on snow and storms. Right now planning on riding Sat, Dec 28 at Schweitzer.  Might ride Sun, Dec 29 morning and then start the drive back to Park City, UT.

We should be arriving Xmas night. Looks like some pow days, but probably not much carving. Will be driving out Sun afternoon. Would still love to catch up!

It looks like another powder day. I plan to be on the slope around 9 tomorrow if the traffic won't be too heavy. I'm going to ride a black skwal and wear red head to toe (like Santa). Let's try to catch up.
