pow4ever
On Large sidecut/short board: i recalled some time back. Sean from Donek make some really large side cut snowboard for Super Pipe and those worked out well/podiumed.
ShortcutToMoncton
Yeah I can see use cases, but a carving board isn’t what I’d pick! Pretty cool to have people running with it
NateW
I have a 170 with a 10m sidecut, but I haven't ridden it for a few years. When I try to lean way into the turns, it arcs around so fast that I feel like I have to exit each turn before I've had a chance to enjoy it. And there's the "carving speed limit" that Jack mentioned, the threshold beyond which a board can only skid... I get over that board's threshold too often. 13m is the sweet spot for me. Board Doctor
Jones Freecarver 6000, the 154 with a 6.5m SCR, 26mm SCD… it’s a lot of turning. It seems to be happy carving at 30 kph, you don’t really want to go over 40kph. Edited February 11 by Board Doctor

My daily driver softboot board is a K2 Excavator 158cm 6.3/7.3m and 1180EE and I found that I couldn’t hold a carve most of this season and I was averaging 38 kph(23.6 mph). Once I dropped down to 30 kph (18.6 mph) I could rail carves and launch out of one and into the other. I was definitely over riding the EE and radius. P.S. My home hill is 50m (150’) so a short radius board is the only way to get the most out of the runs.
