boardguru
Just got back from a great morning of riding at PowMow. Groomers were great but we left when more and more human gates started showing up. Briefly met another hardbooter at the top of the poma lift, name of Dickie riding Head boots, TD2 stepins, on a Coiler. Guy was ripping trenches! I was riding my custom Winterstick 166 OG Race. Buell
Have you never met Dickie? He is ageless and so smooth! I rode with him a lot when we were at PowMow.
boardguru
Howdy Buell, first time I've talked with him. Might have seen him from a lift before. I was surprised he had not heard of alpinesnowboarder.com though.
Buell
He would have known Bomber, but not necessarily ASB. He is not really paying attention to the newest stuff. He is a Purecarve guy who left Aspen for Powder Mountain. I got him on a Coiler after he tried one of mine. He is also a surf legend who pioneered Blacks in San Diego and then moved to Hawaii in the '60s.
boardguru
PowMow and Snowbasin are allowing uphill traffic, hiking. So if you want to earn your turns there is Tons of powder to be had.
boardguru
The wife and I finally got to go riding today at PowMow. First time this season. We were both riding Coiler Contras, hers from last year mine from this year. Great first day, not a lot of people compared to all other days I have viewed the web cams. Blue skies no wind and real (not fake) snow. The entire mountain was open, and what a great time we had. The Contra is like riding a magic carpet! Looking forward to more fun days there.
boardguru
Oh My Heck, I get to try out another new board Sunday. New to me Jack Michaud's Winterstick Squaretail plus 170. 2 new boards in the same season, I don't know how to act!
boardguru
Got to ride today at opening. Snow was fast and fun. Loving the ride of the Winterstick 170 Squaretail Plus. It's a rocket and loves digging trenches. Yay!
boardguru
14 inches this morning! Pow day at PowMow. Although that's nothing compared with what barryj is getting slammed with out in the Sierras!
boardguru
Had a fun day yesterday hanging out with the Wintersick crew and laying trenches until shin bang set in. Great bunch of people to talk and hang out with, Winterstick 50th!
