Mord
What is your preferred edge angle for your board? How did you end up selecting it? Edited March 19, 2018 by Mord
daveo
2deg side 0.5deg base. Those were recommended to me by Ivan from carver.si for the conditions I'm in (Japan, not icy), I bought an svst fixed angle side guide, a beast base fixed angle guide and a set of 5 moonflex stones from racewax and just rolled with it, never looked back. I do it daily. Got a sidewall planar of some sort. I think svst also. Dominator wax with a wax whizard daily. Graphite zoom on base, bullet on edges. A few hot scrapes end of season with graphite base prep after a base grind. Same stuff left on over summer once cleared. Might try briko-maplus next season for wax. Aracan
2° side, 1° base, recommended by the manufacturer. I plan to change that to 2.5° side while keeping the 1° base, though: I am in the habit of using the diamond (Rotofinish) after every day of riding. By keeping the diamond at 2°, I hope to achieve sharper edges without sacrificing more material.
