Kelsims
Hi guys I'm looking to get a GS board for racing but I'm not sure exactly what length, waist width, stiffness etc would be best for my body type. I'm 5'2" and 115lbs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
BlueB
170 stock Kessler, SG, etc. is smallest GS you can get. Smaller then that, you'd need a custom. OES should have junior GS boards too at affordable prices. Edited January 20, 2018 by BlueB

You're really on the light/small size for even the smallest stock 170'ish GS boards, unless you're a very strong rider or still growing. You could also contact Sean Martin at Donek Snowboards. He has a lot of experience building boards for young racers in USASA and SSWSC and should be able to advise you. nextcarve
Goltes has some 166 GS Boards for Junior Racers with modern shape and titanal construction: http://www.goltes.com/Snowboardshop/Productlist/107/Hardboot-gear/Race-Snowboards/Race-GS OES has even smaller 163 and 168 GS Boards for Junior Racers but without titanal http://www.oes.cat/index.php/en/our-production/junior/junior Edited January 21, 2018 by nextcarve
alpinegirl
If you're looking at a first alpine deck talk to Sean at Donek. He has an entry race line called the pilot. It is a great place to start without having to go custom just to accommodate your size. Keep in mind that the flex of the board is more important than it's length. And waist width is determined by your boot size and stance angles.

Eric Brammer aka PSR
At Donek, please Talk to Sean!! When (18 yrs ago.) i was Coaching at Stratton, he went and R.D.'d the Boards We Needed for the Teenagers I was Coaching (Mac and Marley, and Lindsey) at that time. While the shapes/sizes that came from this are likely just a bit obsolete, I've every Confidence that Mr. Martin has improved upon 'just how' to make a light-weight rider's super-fast Board! Tell him "PSR" Sent Ya!
