atfligor
I own Deeluxe boots and installed Fin Tec heels for my Bomber step in bindings. Tihs past weekend I was riding in Sun Valley and i broke the wire for the Fin Tec heel. I am replacing the wire and can't get the Fin Tec heel off - several of the screw heads are stripped and several of the "nuts" in the boot bottom are stripped. There seems to be room to use a washer and nut inside the boot. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Corey
Get new T-nuts from Bomber! You probably could cobble something together, but T-nuts will work better and maybe even be safer.

Keenan
I found the cable sometimes frays where it rubs on the opening in the plastic footbed. If you cut a 1-2" section of a plastic drinking straw and slide it over the cable before you put the handle back on, this acts as a protective sleeve, preventing further fraying. atfligor
I just ordered new T-nuts and bolts from Bomber - 2 day shipping to get back on the mountain this weekend. Keenan, the wire severed below the top of my boot - also there is nothing left on the wire - I would have to crimp it to the handle. Better of replacing everything - wires, nuts and fresh bolts. Thanks again.
queequeg
I keep a spare set of all intec parts on hand in case of just such an event. I had an experience a few years ago when an intec cable went bad and I was unable to remove boot from board without lots and lots of help. Thankfully it was the front foot so my day was not hosed.
