mihi
Hello! I m looking to buy a FP 73 (13,3 SCR). It is in very good condition. And very cheap also! I never ride a 13+ SCR board before! What is your opinion about this board? Anyone ride it? Thanks, Mihi
rekre8r
I have two of the 173 FP's and find it to be a very easy board to ride. It may be a little unstable at top speeds but seems to handle most conditions very well. My guess is that you will like it. Good luck in your search if you find more than one I'd buy another one for my quiver.
RDY_2_Carve
I got one of those, I think. What is 13, 3 SCR exactly? I was going to Ebay it soon and concentrate on my 158. This is my first year carving, so the 7.3 was a bit much for me. The board is great, but those steep stance angles were my main problem with a 180mm waist. Email me at johnpaulwynn@hotmail.com for pics if you want.
Chris Houghton
I think the poster is referring to the 13.3 meter sidecut radius.
dano
Is my main ride. This board wants to carve carve carve. Just tip it over and it locks in and gos, no finess required. I used to ride softer freecarve boards and didn't know what I was missing! I find it super stable at warp speed (even thru crud) but I'm 240 lbs (give or take a few ales) I've got size 11's so I think I would hate a 180s due to the increased bindings angles, unless I had near perfect carving conditions. Also, I found mine as a new leftover in a ski shop and only paid 65 bucks! ds
mihi
What was the last year of production FPs? And in what was the year when the FPs were coloured all black? Not green and black. Just BLACK. Thanks! mihi
Chris Houghton
The only black fp's I remember seeing were the pre-season demos that were next year's models to be demoed by the trade before the official release. But maybe I'm wrong.

kinpa
What year did Burton make the Stats? I had a Stat 5. It was all black.
Derf
Stats were made in 1994, the first board that marked the return to symmetrical for Burton. There is a Stat 7 in the classifieds. This one was not even in the catalog!

I don't have the 2001 Speed catalog unfortunately.
