OMG I have seen the light:ices_ange

is that avalanche w/lofos an asym?

had the 186 diablo pre insert. and the 93 shalom grocer from snowboard connection in Seattle.

the rest just makes me feel unworthy:eek:

The Avalanche is not an Asym (I wish it was!), it is a standard Accel 180. Those bindings were pretty crazy, but worked well with Koflach boots.

cheers,

sandy

I remembered that I also rode Kessler BX and Maverick!

Forgot to include the skis into the pic...

I’ve got the same one as the one on the far left. Not sure what year I got it, but I only rode it one time. I’m only 5’5” and it was too fast. Great conversation piece though.

Thanks to some very cool folks here, some other forums on FB, and from my many trips around the world, I have managed to make my collection almost complete (still missing one board - 2004-05 Tanker)!

I started out rebuilding my quiver to just get any size Tanker from every year of production, well I can say that I surpassed that goal and not only was able to rebuild my Tanker collection, I now have a board from every year that Radical Airlines/Rad-Air have been in production as well as some very special longboards (both old school and modern).

Here is the complete list of what I have right now (I will get a single picture of them all together in order after this season is over when I visit everyone to bring them all back to my home):

? Contrary to popular belief, Size does matter. Go big and ride a longboard!?

No where near as impressive as ^^^ that but even with this small number I struggle to ride each of them enough. I feel that if I don't give each board enough love I am wasting them. Weird, I know. Even though, I think a doubling in a year is a sign of trouble :ices_ange

Anyway, from left to right:

1) Steepwater 171 Plow. Flux XF bindings on 3D printed risers. This is my "experimental" board and also the one I use early in the season because it has an extruded base and is built like a tank!

2) Never Summer Cobra 161 circa 2013 wearing Flow NX2 Bindings. This is my pow board. It has great float and is a surprisingly capable and fun carver. Tons of fun in the trees in Winter Park after a nice dump.

3) Donek Twin 163 with Burton Cartels. Still trying to figure this one out. It's TONS of fun on the groomers and in the trees. Not very floaty in the deep but super super responsive, almost thought controlled. This is a board that I really should ride more but on groomers my Coiler always gets the nod.

4) Prior WCRM 183W with Catek WC bindings. Big, burly monster. Scares the crap out of me. This board doesn't like to go slow and only comes alive above 30mph. When it does though it's awesome! Super damp. I often find myself going way too fast without a clue on how I got there. This is definitely a "big open area" type of board. It should also float really well so I am looking forward to taking it out on a pow day.

5) "THE" board as far as I'm concerned. I love all my boards but If I could only keep one it would be this one. Coiler Nirvana Free Carve Balance, 174, 20cm waist, 10/12.7/12m sidecut. Made for me at 190lbs with TD2s on 0/6 cants. I cannot say enough good things about this board. Fun, damp, plush, controllable, confidence building, and very capable. I could go on and on but I'll stop here.

The only thing I think I might want in the future is a dedicated softboot carving board like a Donek Saber. I'm still trying to figure out what I like and what would work for me.
