jatkinson
I have head boots I bought used with orange tongues intuition liners and BTS. I am around 250lbs. I am feeling the individual straps/buckles through the liners. Not super painful, but by the end of the day it is uncomfortable. I am wondering if this is normal or if I should look for some stiffer tongues or additional padding over my ankle/shin? I am fairly new to this, so not sure what to expect. John E
I too have Head Stratos Pros. They came with yellow & black tongues. I assumed the yellow ones were softer (right?). I weigh quite a bit less & don't have your issue.
philw
Likewise, mine came with two, but I think they were grey & black. I took the stiffer ones and lost the others. But then I'm less than half your weight... not sure if they beef up bigger boots or what. I mean: you could have a lot of mass and small feet, which would presumably cause issues. heroshmero
Changing tongues will change the flex of the boot. Head boot tongues are orange - softest, black - medium, silver - stiffest. If you are happy with the flex then likely what you need is to do work to your liners such as adding padding or replace your liners.
Beckmann AG
Better liners and/or a shell that better matches you foot dimensions.
