timmytard
Hmmm, how about this deal? haha I'm gonna use the money to buy a spring pass to Whistler, the cost $200 + tax Or if you're a gringo it's only $166 + tax If you buy me the pass online, I'll send you the Nidecker Ultralight. You pay shipping of course. This seems like a pretty good deal for all you Gringos, haha Should be around $230 shipped. TT
timmytard
Got a pass so that deal is off the table. This is a mucho high end board. $240 plus shipping, shipping should be pretty cheap. tex1230
Timmytard, did you get scammed, or did this work out? The community here should be warned if there are issues with non-payment or other scams. Edited May 30, 2015 by tex1230
timmytard
It appears to in the process of me getting scammed, yes. I never even noticed until right now, he only has 2 posts. Not lookin' good. I shipped the board, along with another board going to someone else. I've shipped over 100 boards in the last couple years, my success rate is 100%. Only problem I've ever had was, I checked the wrong box once, "return to sender @ senders expense" That's an expensive one, luckily I was able to get it stopped before it got back here, or I would have had to send it again, on my dime. I think I've found the problem though? The tracking number isn't showing up in the system. It's been sent, that part doesn't change. I have the hard copy receipt, with the barcode & tracking number on it, as well the receipt from when I paid to ship it. Plus the bank slip cause I paid with Interac. He's not answering though, that's the problem.
www.oldsnowboards.com
TT. I know you are not new to this either. I would only ad from my 30 years of experience. Do not "SLAM the DOOR" on a deal that appears to be going south. It insures a poor result. Be patient and allow the buyer to do the right thing, allowing for unknown issues , personal or otherwise. Proceed with the pretense that something has broken down and will be repaired. Being respectful regardless of the other parties plans pays dividends going forward. Yes, his history is short. Lets hope he returns to follow through with his obligations. You will get confirmation of delivery right? At that point you can move forward. You do have options , be patient. I know you said it is bad timing, I do not know the circumstances, I can tell you that bad situations just get worse with harsh acts. Use this to reaccess the circumstances you find yourself in. Time to step off the soap box, just know I have probably "LOST" more snowboards than most folks have EVER owned. It is a part of the process / experience. The object is to minimize the losses and increase the WINS. Hang in there, this in not over. Bryan
Corey
The tracking number isn't showing up in the system. You may want to check with USPS/UPS/FedEx/whomever to see why the number isn't showing up. If I had agreed to pay for something once it shipped, and the seller gave me a tracking number that isn't valid, I wouldn't pay either. timmytard
I'm not "slamming the door" at all. As of right now, I do not have a way of knowing if the board has/will be delivered. It is not showing up in the system, I haven't checked yet this morning, but I don't expect anything changed on Saturday night. I will go down to the post office tomorrow & try & figure out why it's not showing up. That's all I can do @ the moment. TT

timmytard
K, I've been tp the post office. Usually I just google the tracking number & it shows up as the only result. Don't know why this tracking number doesn't show up when you gootgle it? But it still doesn't? It does show up when you type it in Canada Posts's web page though. Here's the Tracking Number: CX553203658CAHere's a link. If for some reason you can't see it? Go here, punch in the number. https://www.canadapost.ca Would you kinda please fix this. breeseomatic
Where does this scammer live? I think that following Brian's advise and giving the person time to redeem himself is a wise start. After a suitable period of time, call in the guys wearing gold and greasy hair with last names ending in vowels. I'm hoping for a late but agreeable resolution. slopestar
Agreed on that jbreese but getting burned is a real bummer. Karma and Murphy have a way of rewarding you or making you pay at some point
