slopestar
I was just gifted one of these... Thoughts? Reviews? It's minty fresh... Tons of edge/camber and looks like it had plates on it
boardguru
I have a 178 Summit. Love it, it's a great powder board and carves well on hardpack. I used it with plate bindings. My wife also rode this board, she is 5'2", and she rode the heck out of it, she also loved it. Great board in my opinion. Not sure of the construction though. It's probably listed somewhere on the web. The only spec's I know are, it is a Carbon cap construction with a light weight wood core and a Diamond disc finished base. slopestar
Not sure of the construction though. It's probably listed somewhere on the web. Thank you Boardguru for the info. I did many searches for the board on the web and found virtually nothing. It feels a bit stiffer than my trusty 3 hole/cambered custom x 164 with similar waist and tip and tail widths just a bit more size and edge. Looks like I scored either way. Vintage I'm guessing is circa 2000' ?
boardguru
I believe so that that is the time frame, they are a bit stiff, but to me that tranlates into extra "pop" out of turns. You did make a good score on that board. I think you will enjoy riding it. Have fun with it.

Never heard of an Oxygen summit. Gonna have to look it up. Edited October 29, 2013 by Marc Hall

Marc H
You got a pic of the Oxygen summit? I'm curious what the top sheet looks like. Never heard or seen one.

Gcarve
It was going into the dumpster. Wow, it's crazy that they were going to throw it away.
Jon Dahl
Looks just like my old 178 Summit. Light board, I thought it sucked as a pow board but carved nice enough. It ended up as my splitboard, I cut a bunch of taper into it when I split it and used it for many seasons.
dano
Nice score! In plastic even! Just be careful of the sidewalls ( it looks to be a cap? ) I had an 02 Freon 167 and the rhe cap exploded between the bindings soon after a a small ding appeared.
