theboarderdude
http://stlouis.craigslist.org/spo/3405008439.html I inquired about the add and he said he could sell for $250, no negotiation whatsoever. I would be converting the step-ins to regular td-2s, selling the td-1s I just bought, and selling the board. would it be worth it? I checked bomber's store and they have the toe bail and clip, set screw, and lug w/o spring, but no spring or sole block. Any ideas for a conversion? so, should I buy it with possible negotiation?? thanks in advance
www.oldsnowboards.com
250$ would be a good value.
Neil Gendzwill
Why convert? Step-ins are the way to go. That's a great deal if everything is in ok shape, jump on it.

I'd be using them for racing, and I've heard step-ins aren't good for that. plus I'd have to buy fin-tec heels. Think I could get atleast $150-$200 out of TD-1s and the board? Neil Gendzwill
I don't understand where td1s come in - you have a pair already? They are typically worth $100 or so. As far as racing goes - I have no experience but the step-ins will be stiffer. Many racers feel the td2s are too stiff in general which is why Fin designed the sidewinders. There are other, cheaper Intec heels than the Fin-tec ones.
theboarderdude
yeah I just picked up a pair of td1s for $100. I wasn't planning on buying another pair but hey, opportunity came knocking. I would love a pair of td2s, but I'm not sure I want the step-ins with it. there isn't a conversion kit or anything like that is there?? Mr.E
It's a good deal, but if you don't want the boots, don't want the board, and don't want the bindings I think you already answered your own question.
lowrider
Put your TD1's on a soft plate and you will think your riding TD3's. Step in's are great, if you have two boards split. the stepins with a set of bale bindings and you good to go.

lowrider
Yes if you are under 180 # the 4mm lite would be good as it will allow movement that makes it more comfortable with stiff bindings. Most people aren't willing to invest in the new technology and use it on older bindings and boards but there is a world of difference to discover if you dare! theboarderdude
new development: he has intec heels with them :) and quoting him and myself: "do you have the heels that came with them? yes. I have everything that came with them." any idea what everything that came with them could be?
theboarderdude
pulled to trigger on it. picked up a board, pair of TD2 step-ins, intec heels, extra set of cant disks and elastomers, and a soft carrying bag for $225. well.... that was a crappy deal wasn't it?? :D
