skategoat
Is anyone familiar with the Yes brand? I met a guy in Whistler who just raved about them, especially the 162 directional twin tip. They are made in Europe and have limited distribution in North America. Anyone try one? http://www.yesnowboard.com/
bobdea
for a company that claims to only be making 100 boards a year they have some serious cash behind them. you watch the videos on the site? their team is pretty high end too unless they're working for free. skategoat
And the boards are priced at $449.00. Let's see, 100 x $449 = $44,900.00 That wouldn't pay for the company Mazda.
Rob Stevens
The company is owned by some of the riders on the team. Mostly ex-Burton guys.
skategoat
Did some Googling and found that you are right Rob. It was started by three pro riders who were dropped by Burton. I like their attitude - no marketing hype, just pure snowboards. Of course, that could just be marketing hype <G>.
carvin29
I feel bad about the way Burton cut them but don't see anything special about their boards.
skategoat
carvin: What do you see special in Burton boards? Or Rome? Or Ride? I see some solid construction techniques and materials in the Yes boards. I see those pro riders ripping it pretty good on the boards.
