A buddy of mine got a nice 6 pointer this year and it was tough as nails.... It ran for like a mile and he had to track it before it bled out. Lactic acid sux for deer meat. EDIT: I butchered it for him hanging in his garage. I was done in just under 2 hours and he still owes me the backstrap tenderlons for doing it, but after having some of the stew, I think I will pass.
