Michael Pukas
Hey MY - I have the same boots, same size, same problem. On the 5th notch the strap is not tight enough. I am not running the stock thermo liners - the '09 black ones were junk IMO. I am running an older set of grey Raichle thermo's. I'm thinking of either - 1) getting some boot fitter foam and padding the top of the instep on the liner to take up some extra room, or 2) get a new shorter strap. Funnily enough, I just demoed the new '10 red-white-black boots over the weekend - put my BTS and liners w/ footbeds on/in the shells. What a difference! Much better boot - stiffer, more suportive and more responsive. And, I didn't have the problem w/ the ankle strap being too loose - the 3rd notch was tighter than the 5th on my boots. Option 3 is to get the new boots... mpp
