This is a fairly impressive one, purely mechanical. http://www.diycamera.com/stabiliser/index.html The principles could probably applied to make one suitable for a GoPro video camera. Instead, I just just a software video stabilizer. For those interested, I used the Deshaker plugin for VirtualDub.
