Guest shrederjen
Very big sigh..... I became a member of the elite board club, yesterday, when I snapped my Madd 170 in half. I was warming up for my race, by doing a big, beautiful black (that had been mowed the night before) with 5 inches of pow on it. This was actually my second run down the slope, since the first had been so much fun. (I begged my friend to do it again before our race). I jumped into some moguls and thought I hit a rock. Wrong. Poor sad, madd snapped in half just forward of the forward binding..... Guess I will be board shopping at SES!!!! Pics to follow. Gotta go snowboarding. Sigh...... LeeW
Im so sorry to hear that! If you ever consider Madd 170 again, you might want to try f3 ?
Allee
Oh no! Not your baby! If you're board shopping, then you and I need to get our mitts on those girly titanal boards Bruce is threatening to bring ...
D.T.
Guess I will be board shopping at SES!!!! from the SES 2009 thread: If all goes as planned I should have 2 lady specific Titanal boards to demo. Bringing my wifes 170 with 11.5m and a new Stubette which should be about 161 x 19 x 12m. Ride Bruce's boards as SES. Develop a baseline. Discuss the characteristics that you like/dislike with him. Have him build your dream board and be done!
Guest shrederjen
I intend on trying LOTS of boards at SES...... And yes, my first thoughts were (when it broke) hrm..... Perhaps, I need an F3. But no, I don't really think so. Did a great halfpipe clinic, yesterday. Did it on the 3800 set at 45/40. The guys were impressed that a hardbooter was doing it. Today, since, no new snow, Im breaking out the K-Board. Guess thats my new race board. (2006 used 174 KST) NO Rolex for me, today!!!! I may still do the little boarder cross, here at Steamboat. That is a BLAST! Gonna ride with the skiers on groomers. See ya'll soon. Jen ps....will post a poor pic after I get home. sigh.
Guest shrederjen
from the SES 2009 thread: Have him build your dream board and be done! (My dream board is one that I can race on. One that I can take in powder (up to at least 6 or 8 inches) One that I can ocasionally catch air with. One that I can venture into loose trees..... Oh yea, one that carves well. Wow, kinda sounds like the guy I'm lookin for!!
Gleb
i believe a schtubby can do all of those. I have a titanal coiler 176 all mountain and I was in around 8 inches of fresh this past weekend, went into the trees, and then had fun in the chop. I'm not much of a racer, but I'm sure it'll handle fine in the gates. My top 2 boards are my madd 170 and coiler. The are completely different rides but have the same capabilities. I'd like to see a hardbooter in the the pipe. Any vids?

Well, yes, as a matter of fact. Our coach is gonna email the vids to us. Hey, now, I did not get over the top, but, it was a very cool experience, if not TERRIFYING!!! Time to go snowboarding! :)
inkaholic
Jen, Sorry to hear about your board being destroyed. Hope to see you next time at Lovey. March 8th will be this years Loveland Carve Session. I'd like to see a hardbooter in the the pipe. Gleb, See post #34 in this thread http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=15578&highlight=greenwood+halfpipe&page=2 I have seen other shots of Greeny blasting out of the pipe but this is the only one I found quickly. Guest shrederjen
Thanks Ink. I may race on that day (Sunday 8th) but will make it over one way or another. I still have 3 days to burn at Loveland... Good news, bad news.... Good news, I had a ripping time on the Kessler. Too bad, I know I should not ride it everywhere!! Bad news, here are pics of my poor sad, Madd. On a better note, my TD3s and calander were waiting for me, when I got home, this morning!!! I have not ridden a girly board since i rode the K2 Luna... It would have to be strong enough to take my abuse!!
KingCrimson
Kinda interesting that it broke under the binding and not in front of it. Also broke where you would imagine the CF to be stronger.
Guest shrederjen
Kinda interesting that it broke under the binding and not in front of it. Also broke where you would imagine the CF to be stronger. Actually, it did break just fwd of the binding... I had the TD2s mounted pretty well centered over the board. It was not mounted in the forward holes.. Yea, strange. No more big bumps for me on a carver. Yea, right!
