Other contributing factors to fitting a boot correctly, which does not seem to be mentioned above, is a persons flexibility. If you have a very flexible ankle joint and foot, this will change the way a boot fits you dramatically. Meaning, if your foot is very flexible, this can cause the foot to spread and change shape upon weight distribution. If that same foot is supported correctly on a good foot bed, it may enable the user to downsize 1-2 sizes very comfortably. Before taking recommendations here on what the correct boot is for you, you should always visit a good boot-fitter, to determine these factors correctly.
