pegtal
Hi all, I'm 5'7", 155 lbs, 7,5 US, and 35 years old. I used to be an agressive alpine rider and now riding softies (Santa Cruz Duo GLX 159 + Burton C60 + Burton ion) in French Alps. Still have Catek OS2 and hardboots with a Volkl RT158 for tights turns on ice. I'm looking for a long alpine board (170cm+) that I can use with moderate angles (50° max for front foot). It would be my speed cruising board, nice edge hold, stable and damp, comfortable at moderate/high speed for non-crowded days. Alpine market is almost dead in France (I don't want a Swoard or a F2) and longer boards are easier to find on BOL. I don't want a new board since I'm not sure to ride it a lot. So if you got something I should like and if you are ok to send it to France, let me know. Thank you Pegtal
shintowin
Here's a Nidecker 177 GS -- I could find out how much it would be to ship to France. Or I will be visiting my sister in Geneva some time in January if you don't mind waiting -- I could send it from there.... http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=21932
Surf Quebec
Sometimes I go on the french forum on extremecarving, there seem to be a fair number of hardbooters.
mackDan
Pegtal, I have a 2001 Oxygen Limited 170 for sale. Search the for sale listings. I'll go bump the listing so it should come back to the top. ! and I should be in Cannes, for about 4 weeks maybe starting around December 23rd for work. I could bring the board with me, and we could work out a place to meet. I've been trying to decide if I'm going to haul skis and gear, or a board and gear over, but if your buying the board, I'll bring boards. pegtal
Thank you all for your answers. Well, obviously I wasn't clear enough in my description, Nidecker and Oxygen, like Volkl, old burton FP, UP, Speed, F2 RS, Rossignol, Hot Blast, and lot more boards can be found in France at great prices. And I've ridden many of them. I'd like something different, I'm curious about Madd, Coiler, Donek, Prior… Pokkis, thank you for the link, this is what I'm looking for, I'll probably ask you some help if I find something in my weight range. Goremachine
I have a 182 Donek Axis, it would give you the moderate angles that you want, and at your weight, it would ride a lot stiffer than it rides for me. I'm not sure how much shipping to France would cost though. Let me know if you're interested.
