Sinecure
Hey willy, you willing to give me a lesson if i cover gas and get boose? I'm up for a trip anytime. Oooh. Put him on a big kite for water dragging lessons. And get video of it to post here. :smashfrea:biggthump:nono: Here's my idea of some recent summer fun: Hiking up... More hiking up, only steeper (crampons and ice axe make it much easier & safer)... Enjoying the work... Probably get the mountain bike going this weekend. Got out once last week. No pics to prove it, though.
AaronG
Sinecure, where were those taken at? Ebbets?? Tioga?? A few weeks back some buddies wanted me to go with them to the top of San Gorgonio,(11,499 ft) and do some skiing. I bailed but they said they had a great time. Maybe I can join them next year as the snow pack here is getting sparse. Nice Pics!!!

Chubz
WW Is that Beverly, MA???? If so miss that town. My wife and I were talking about it the other day and when I use to live there when she and I started dating. I think she fell in love with the town and not me and "had" to to take me when I moved back to PA. I am still up for that lesson we never got to have a few years back. Here is one of what I been up to, plus keeping the boys occupied and rock climbing. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=21370 Hope your summer is going well. Dan
Here's a photo of me on my commuter, getting my ass handed to me in a short track MTB race on Monday. They run these MTB races on the motocross course at PIR (Portland Int'l Raceway) during the summer, and it's stupid amounts of fun, even though I suck. I have zero background in off-road riding - my commuter hasn't even had knobbies on it for the last 5 years - so it's been a steep learning curve. Now I'm starting to get the hang of it, and getting to the point where cardio conditioning and off-road technical skills are holding me back, rather than my inability to ride in a pack. It's a blast, and [gear lust alert!] I'm starting to mull over the idea of buying a new MTB...

two_ravens
Six days, five nights, 21 crazy river rats in 10 rafts and 4 kayaks on 99.7 miles of wilderness river in Idaho! I was lucky enough to draw the permit, and Carvedog took on the trip leader job. This is a shot of the amazing launch ramp, and a couple shots of rafts on the river. I was in a kayak, and mostly behind the camera... :-)
two_ravens
A couple shots at Sunflower Hot Spring waterfall (one a self portrait) and another typical day in paradise rafting the river!
kjl
Mmm kiteboarding. I just got into it about 2 months ago (thanks, Joel!). It's the best way to kick that snowboarding jones in the summer. Funnily enough I have no desire to jump on a snowboard (except for the mini airs during carve transitions), but kite air is ridonkulously fun. Just had two great days out here in San Francisco Bay! Only downside here is the bay water is disgusting.
two_ravens
Here is a shot of a new didgeridoo convert giving my river didge a workout. Then a shot of our last campsite, and the rock I slept on. What an amazing river!!!

I spent a night drifting downwind next to the San Mateo Bridge paddling a windsurfer when the wind crapped out off Coyote Point and drifted all the way down to 3rd. Ended up with a bad throat infection from the swill water. Check out the Delta, that video I posted on the other thread makes it look like an awesome kiting spot, even for beginners.nice and shallow is the key. btw, I've never met Joel but set him up with Gleb, he sold Gleb his old Cabrinha big board. Now we need to get the Glebster on the program, if he picks up kiting like he did alpine carving, he'll be a ripper in no time.
Allee
Kelly, it looks like your trip was a blast!! Next time, draw a permit in a year where I haven't just changed jobs and have no vacation :-) I bet the kayaking was wicked. I hope Carvedog showed you a good time! carvedog
Kelly, it looks like your trip was a blast!!..... I hope Carvedog showed you a good time! Well we tried to roll out the Idaho hospitality. You'll have to make it next year if we are so lucky to get a permit. Kelly - that is an awesome shot at Sunflower. The self-portrait looking up. Love the others too. Already missing being out there.
