skategoat
I heard a rumour that Head currently offers an alpine board in Japan but I see no evidence of it on the web. But then again, the Stratos boots aren't even on Head's websites and I know they exist. Can anyone tell me if Head currently offers an alpine board in the Japanese market? Did they ever? Perhaps under a different brand?
bobdea
head also puts titanal in their softie gear it would not surprise me a bit as burton offers a alpine BRAND in japan and the only way you can get a addicted in the US other than from Klug is to go their outlet store
skategoat
I know there are many brands in Japan that never make it to our shores - Gray, Okasaka, Yonex. I'm wondering if any of these are made by Head.
Scott Firestone
Head made the AX and MOA series for '02. Here is a shot of the MOA. I know nothing else about them.
bobdea
ohhhhhhhh the old Generics stuff became head for a season, decent boards at the time generics and blax were bought up by head back in the day and between the two companies you could get a complete hardboot rig
BlueB
My old Generics IQ is still one of my favorite rides. If Head used the same Inteligence technology as in theior skis, that would be one hell of the alpine snowboard...
skategoat
Thanks Scott, I figured you would know. Do you have a higher res version of that photo? Was it a one year thing only? Seems a strange marketing move to offer a product for one year only.
Marjo
Here's the link for their website in japan: http://www.uspj.co.jp/usp2002/alpine/idx_alpine.html You can see specs for the MOA and the AX. A fellow BOL member (Seb) provided that link to me. Marjo
