H.I. Yellow lenses on sunny days

I'll be in CO in a couple weeks- I have a new pair of Goggles with HI Yellow lenses I'd like to wear but worry it might get too bright. Interested to hear opinions.

It is getting bright. I find that an orange lens is my preference, great definition in the shadows and enough shade to keep the eyes from hurting.

I wore HI blue or yellows, I'm not sure which, on a bluebird day last Saturday. It was brighter than I'd prefer, but not lethal. I definitely found myself squinting occasionally.

The HI's, I think, have an 83% VLT. The 70% VLT smith Sensor Mirror lenses are cheaper and more versatile as far as low-light goggles go, I think. I see a bunch of patrollers use them, whether it's blue skies or completely overcast.

I find they get kinda bright on a bluebird day when you are on the chair, however if you can look at anything other than snow and sky (trees, a valley that isn't snow covered, etc) you should be fine.

I had lasik a few years ago and my eyes are a little sensitive to light. Can not do yellow lenses on a clear day. Even orange is slightly pushing it.

Same. I usually just look at the trees or close my eyes.

I don't know for snowboarding, but I whore my HI yellow while cycling on a sunny day, and it is very bright, almost like no glasses.
