  1. june is kinda of a niche mountain, you either love it or not. I can speak for myself and Brian in saying we prefer june all the time. but others like the shear size of mammoth when it is not crowded. my problem with mamoth is that their runs all run into "funnel runs" at the bottom, which are one: always crowded for carving standards and two: cut up all to hell no matter how good the grooming. The other problem with mammoth IMO, is that they just have too much area to do a good groom. unlike june which is small in comparison so the guys can really get in there and make a white carpet. btw, you run cornice on an alpine board? damn i'd like to see a video of that.
  2. you know if you really want to get to the june managment, maybe someone should get Carls email and then everyone who cares can email him. that might make an impact!!
  3. I have a Large 05 Marmot firelight fleece jacket which i wore for like 2 days. However, i recently switched to a tight fit softshell and had to buy a thiner jacket so i want to sell this one to recoop some money. it is a 300 level fleece, the warmest you can buy and has pit zips and will zip into any marmot hard shell. here is a picture if you want one of the actual email me, i'm just being lazy since its basicly brand new. I paid 90 for this guy but would liek 80 shipped. feel free to email me with questions or REASONABLE offers. thanks devin
  4. I would like to trade with anyone a 0 degree cant plate for a 3 degree, or i'll sell the 0 degree for 23 bucks shipped, so i can get a 3 degree from bomber. it is very lightly used.
  5. if enough people ask for gun smoke to be left for carving they will do it! on the second thought, they already printed the trail maps so....
  6. just got back from june mountain today. snow conditions were great despite a small base and high temps. it was a little soft on monday due to 2-3 feet of new snow and i managed to crash and burn and give my self whiplash. thanks to a helmet it wasn't much worse. but tuesday and wensday the cats got on it and it was perfect for carving.
  7. return it or sell it on ebay and get a creative zen or something without fruit on it.
  8. yeah, when i first started working for my shop years ago, they were using a glue gun. however, repairs turned out like poop. so i soon just switched to torching the candles instead. the glue gun doesn't get hot enough, but you might be able to find a glue gun that gets hotter and it may work, but the cheap ones dont.
  9. i second that! (just a post to get email notifications)
  10. i was going to say the same thing as the previous poster. and also dont try to ptex small scratches cause the small ones are better filled with wax. Ptex doesn't like to bond in tight areas in my experience and like said above they need to be opened up sometimes.
  11. yesterday i was thinking the same thing. maybe the original poster should email fin and bring his attention to this thread in case he misses it. its a great idea!!!
  12. that all makes good sence, but our friend tahoe is just trying to resale something he bought from a retailer cause he doesn't want it anymore and happens to have not used it, or wore it with the tags, either way its his right to try to sell it through any avenue he deems best. he never entered into any contract with burton(unless he did and hes not telling us) so he is entitled to sell it and tell who ever is interested who makes it. its not like he used burton logos, i saw the previous listing, he only used the picture he took. i think burton should give you a refund if they dont want it on ebay. but as it seems, ebay canceled you so....it sounds kinda shady to me.
  13. yeah i've felt that before, gotta train before you ride. do quad exercises, like a wall sit and you'll be all ready to go longer and longer.
  14. could you explain exactly how you were approached about infringment? it seems that unless you buy the gear directly from burton you should be able to sell second hand where and when ever you want. i think you are getting jerked around. would like to know more.
  15. no kidding, last time i was there i couldn't believe all the change the mountain is undergoing. hopefully they leave june alone due to its isolated location.
  16. I was just on ebay looking for a new MP3 player. I noticed, maybe because of the holidays but, damn everything is like full priced. I remember a time when you used to be able to find things on ebay for like half price. now everything from sony network mp3 players to ipods to burton jackets to TD2s are at minimum of retail prices. then after shipping forget it. It is still alright for used items but new stuff is all full price. has the internet lowered to retail cut so much that products are sold for close to their wholesale price? It seems that way. I just bought a K2 blackhawk one helmet from tramdock for 229 which was the price at rei.com, when the retail was 299. come to find out the wholesale for that product was like 219. so that company only made 10 dollars? and i got free shipping so maybe they made 4 dollars? wow!!! at least now i can by things in the store without worring about finding it cheaper on the internet, which is very convient cause you dont have to wait for shipping. what do you guys think? has anyone else noticed this trend?
  17. I have for sale a patagonia fleece which i had for the past six seasons. I used it off the slope as well in winter, so it has more use than my jacket which is also in the classifieds. as you can see in the photo it is in great shape with the only flaw being the faded sections in the elbows. However, to be honest it looks more faded in the photo. In person you can hardly notice it. please email me if you would like 3.2 mega pixel photos. asking $40 shipped to the US.
  18. I have for sale a Patagonia Storm Jacket which I have used for the past six seasons. However, I get in maybe 4 to 6 days per season and live in san deigo and daytona beach, so i dont use it much except to snowboard. so the jacket has been in a closet for 98 percent of the time. The result is a like new condition jacket. If you would like full 3.2 mega pixel pictures, please email me. asking $75 shipped to the US. see my other post on the patagonia fleece for a complete setup.
  19. Since you and the said victims of your crime, were actually going UPHILL. Technically, YOU were DOWNHILL from them!!! SOOO..its their fault. Right? right? Maybe not.:p
  20. let me be the first to suggest, lift ticket price regulation.
