  1. I have a pair of new (never molded, never even had a foot in them) Deeluxe Indy's. They are size MP27.

I am looking to get $350 + shipping for them.

Please email me at ben -at- bogeydog -dot- net if you are interested.

Although new items are not usually allowed in the classified sections, I have cleared this with Fin.

    Thanks,

    ->Ben

  2. I am going to try to come on the 10th. Unfortunately it is going to depend on several different things coming together to make it happen.

How about Bob J ? Is he coming? How is he - does anyone know?

Cool, hope to see you there Kathy.

Yes, captain Bob J is coming up on the 10th last I knew. He was good last I emailed him a couple of days ago.

  3. I was thinking the same, I made a template and have a couple sheets of material. I was thinking Lexan.

Then polycarbonate is what you want. Get part # 85805K27 www.mcmaster.com and if you have Bombers then you need to get M6 x 20mm bolts to hold them to the board. I like the oval phillips head ones. Part # 90258A288 in case you wanted that too.

  4. I made up some spacers for it and I'm gonna try them. I made a set out of polycarbonate and another set out of polyethylene. I don't want to affect the flex of the board too much so I'm going to experiment with these two.

I made up a template if you are interested in a set. All I need to do is attach the template to the raw material and run it through my router.

  5. TT... oh ya! I'm going up this weekend too. I got the new boots (325's)on 12/23 and haven't had a chance to use them either. Ben what did you get???

I'll tell you all about it on Monday Kurt.

    Paul

I got a NSR II 185 Titianal, should be here on Friday.

  6. Here is a picture of the old and new tee nuts that come with the Intec heels. The new ones are painted black. Not sure if they are the same underneath. Next to that is the M5x20mm pan head screw that comes with the heels. Next is a M5x20mm stainless pan head. Next to that is an M5x20mm stainless hex cap bolt replacement and the appropriate M5 washer so that that head is the same diameter as the pan head screw.

One thing to mention is that carbon steel is stronger then stainless. Stainless is more brittle so you don't want to let them get loose so they can get worked. You've all seen what happens to a paper clip when you bend it back and forth a few times. However, carbon steel will corrode so it IS work replacing the whole works every year. The tee nuts/bolts are very inexpensive when compared to the alternative. :-)

  7. Jack get a 195 or 200. My 195 is one of my fav boards in my quiver. It's Todds 195 board with a 16.75 radius. You can ride it at Sunapee when we meet up or the ECES. What you've got a 158, 177, 180 and nothing bigger... you NEED a 195, especially at the Loaf, trails are big enough to ride a big board all day there.

Or have Bruce make you a split tail 195, you can adjust the tail to change how tight you can turn the board. Ben's has a Coiler split board and a regular 195, I'm sure he'll let you ride them :D

Jack, just let me know when you want to ride them and I'll bring them both for you to ponder. My Coiler 196 is a 17+ radius. It's 17m up front and larger out back. I know nothing about the split tail for specs but I know it rides big.

  8. I have boot bag that I'm looking to sell. It's an REI bag a few years old but looks new. There are no rips or stains etc..

    I'm looking for $25 + shipping.

email me at ben -at- bogeydog -dot- net if you are interested.

  9. I have a MADD 170 for sale. This is pre flex pattern but I would guess it's about a F2. Red sidewall and fresh PTC tune. The CF fly typically is a little rough where it was cut but this does not affect performance. This is as it came from MADD.

Board has literally been ridden twice. Just making some room for a new Coiler.

    Price is $400 + shipping.

  10. You think they'd stop me if i put one board on each foot?

reason is so I dont, have to run down the mtn/car to swap boards when training

Of course Id rotate the bindings to 90deg

Why not lock the board to a rack at the bottom of the mountain? You have to go down the mountain anyway so top or bottom makes no difference.

  11. According to Erik Dr. Franken Boots Beckman:

"The initial function of toe lift is to account for the supportive forward lean of your boot, and equalize the leverage ratios from the toe side to heel side of the snowboard. Another way of looking at it is that you are trying to set the center of your knee, as viewed from the tip of the board looking toward the tail, roughly on the midline of the board width."

  12. Not true. In fact a beginner will benefit more from a proper tune, a la PTC, then a more advanced rider. I can not recommend a PTC tune enough. The board will ride better then new and you can remove the board as a source of problems while you learn. The $75 is the whole ball of wax including base grind done by a master. You do not need to do this too often. Just maintenance after that for a couple of years.

Gleb, have you ridden a PTC tune?

  13. If Boston wins, the reaction this time will be less orgasmic. But we need this one for validation - to say that 2004 wasn't a fluke. Expansion teams don't deserve a championship until they're at least 20 years old. ;) Like, the Florida Marlins taking down the New York Yankees? Lame.

Agreed, any team with non primary team colors shouldn't be in the league. These new teams should have been contracted long ago. Does anyone really even go to a Rockies game?
