I was there for a few hours today. Out here for work so my coworker convinced me to do some turns.
The first few runs were firm, thin coverage. After an hour it was all sugar snow, which on a soft board wasn't to bad. Had to do a lot of slarving around.
Supposedly the snow is starting tonight. But I will be on the road again.

You are going to love that EX. I am on my second season of mine. So much fun. The hills here are shut down today and tomorrow.

Almost every Saturday and Sunday Bobble and myself are out at Buck Hill. I would be happy to give you some pointers to help you get going.
Also what BigWaveDave said, come out this weekend and see the races. I was out yesterday and will be out in am hour or so to watch/ride.

Flat, flat light. The grooming was quite good. No surprises while I was out riding. Rode for about 3 hours. I like having Fridays off.

I got there for the open. Lasted about 30 minutes before my body said lets ease into the season. Dave was out taking pictures, so I had to ham it up for the camera. This year I learned what zoom is all about ;)

Anyone going out tomorrow to Buck in the morning? I think I'm going, but it might be a ski day.
Your heel gets full of ice Bobble? What does your toe block look like? That's the one that usually gives me trouble because your heel doesn't contact the block with step ins. I use a precisely calibrated kick with my toe to brake the ice loose, works very well, it's like splitting firewood with a hatchet.
I will be at Buck in the morning. I went out this morning for about a hour and a half. Not sure what this weather is going to do tonight.

Was pretty good this morning for March. Carves held up quite well, though my one mitt is about gone.
One a different note, they were setting up the pond skip at the bottom of the half pipe, way to cold for me.
Pretty sure I was in shorts in my back yard last year on St Patty's Day. This year is much better, cue up the winter storm.

Another option is call up Bruce at Coiler. I worked with him and got his EC board and love it. 175 x 22 with a variable sidecut radius. I takes anything I can throw at it here in the Midwest.

Dave and I were out this morning. Good snow conditions till around 10:30, the sun went away and the snow was getting ripped up. I switched over to the VSR at that point, I forgot how much fun that board is.
