  1. Yep thats what I'm proposing. Probably head up a little later. Would be my first day out so I'm not sure how much my legs will tolerate.
  2. Ian, if your friend is interested in some gear I have a couple Oxygen FR's I'm looking to part with, as well as a set of Drake bindings suitable for a starter/lighter rider.
  3. Have you considered heading to Marble Mountain? Plenty of varied terrain and tons of wide open groom. Grew up riding there and long to head home. 1700+ vertical makes for lots of fun.
  4. Just an fyi on the transboarder shipping. From what I can remember either I THINK UPS but it may have been FEDEX, includes brokerage when you ship International Priority. The cost of shipping is obviously higher but the payoff is in shipping high value goods. Their Brokearge scale is based on declared value and if its worth something you will declare true value so that you have adequate insurance. So you can ship via this method, declare full value and not get nailed with high brokerage fees, just pay the taxes on that value when you receive it. The only other option is to live close to the boarder so you can drive across and pick it up a a postal outlet yourself. If you have alot of things to pickup this can save you huge in both shipping fee's and brokerage.
  5. Yes but that $8 beer actually contained alcohol!!
  6. Except for those of us that live in the igloos out near the ice pack. So has everyone waxed the runners on their sleds in preparation for the annual moose migration?
  7. Hey, I was told you might be able to help me track down a few items. Please msg me when you have an opportunity.
  8. Dave would you please add me to your maybe group. If I can get a kitchen pass for the weekend I'll head up from Ottawa to meet some of you guys. I've not had much luck finding carvers in this area, nor much good groom to carve.
  9. A little off topic, but I've tried contacting Catek numerous times both through email and phone and have never recieved a response. I've been wanting to purchase additional bases to make life easier at the mountain as I usually travel with several boards. If anyone has had better luck contacting them please let me know. Back on topic, If you have problems stripping out the threads on the plates, try installing a Heli-Coil. We use them in aviation whenever we have to thread into aluminum.
  10. Hey, I have for sale a used set of Drake bindings. I have no idea of model type. They are white and yellow with a plastic base and 4 hole disc. Suitable for lighter or new rider. They have maybe 15 days use. I will send pics to anyone intersted. I am asking $50 shipped to you. Please post here if you would like pics.
  11. David, payment was sent this evening.
  12. Is anyone interested in a new 05-06 Prior WCR sized 161, 171, 176, or 185 with red top sheets? They also have 1 4WD in a 159. If I purchase 2 or more I can get them for $400 each plus gst and shipping. They are new old stock at a shop in Whistler and they are clearing them out. Thought I would pass this opportunity along and save us all some money. There is also some Catek OS1 short plates available. Not of much use to me but I can inquire as to the price. You can email me or call for more information. 613-822-6259 home 613-850-7879 cell Chris
  13. Hey, I'm interested. Could you possibly email me more pics @ cd.hampton@rogers.com so we can discuss shipping.
  14. Confirmed. Will be @ Edelweiss @7 this evening if anyone cares to join us. I'll be the big guy on either a purple Airwalk or green Oxygen fr57.
  15. May be going to Edelweiss this evening. Anyone else interested?
  16. If Canuck dosen't work out i'll take it. I'm in need of some boards.
  17. I recall seeing a post on here within the last week or two from someone who had conversion kits they were willing to part with, but I can no longer find the post. So if anyone has a set for TD1's please let me know ASAP. Chris
  18. Tankers Just came across this this evening and happened to recall your post. Don't know if its what you are looking for, or if the prices are reasonable. The 200 looks like it would be a helluva ride!!
  19. Haven't confirmed anything yet, waiting on a shipping quote for a set of OS2's. What do you have available?
  20. As per the title. Anyone in the 613 area? I don't get out much but would like to ride with anyone that is interested.
  21. Hey, I'm hoping I might solicit some input wrt some new purchases. I'm trying to rebuild my quiver and am in the dark as to what boards would be suitable. I first started riding in '88 but due to family and work obligations have not been involved much in the sport for the past 5-6 years, riding only 2-3 times a season and usually on a loaner or rental. The vitals; 6'1, 240ish, goofy, agressive hard boot rider. Rode for Burton, racing and freecarve boards, back in high-school and college. Haven't worn a soft boot since I snapped a binding and broke and arm back in the early 90's. Hoping to ride 10-15 days a season from now on. Mostly in eastern Ontario and maybe up at Tremblant, or at Marble Mountain if I can get some some good flight prices. I'm open to suggestions on board type and length. If I've not provided enough info please let me know and I'll do my best to clarify. Best Regards, Chris
  22. As per the title, I am looking for a set of Step-Ins. Bindings need to fit size 13 boot. Intec heels and a second board kit would also be handy if available.
