  1. Hey I have a Prior WCR board that I will be parting with. Getting a new coiler this year. I can provide pics and specs if you are interested. Please email. cd.hampton AT rogers DOT com
  2. Not sure if this is acceptable to post here. If not please delete. I have an opportunity to purchase lift tickets at the following prices; Mont Ste-Marie/Fortune $35 vs. $43 Camp Fortune $35 vs. $43 Mont Tremblant $50 vs. $81 I am still working out details for this but please post if you are interested. I must purchase them by November 20th so that means I will need payment from you before then.
  3. Glad you all had fun. Hopefully next year I'll actually get to ride with some of you. Once the anle is mended I'll be on to the summer distractions!
  4. Ian, What springs are you currently using in your BTS? I was gong to order a set today but not sure if i should get medium or hard springs
  5. Hey. The weather makes me feel a little better about my situation. That, and I don't have to worry about my wife trying to shovel the drieveway. I finally got my boots in from the car yesterday. HA! I'll post a pic once I get the camera in the same room with me. All I can say is that if it had not been for these boots, Ian would have been driving me back to the city screaming the whole way. Undoubtedly the boots save me from surgery and a huge recovery. Silver lining? Now I have no choice but buy new boots. Well thats my story anyhow.
  6. Well looking back at it now, riding on Sunday probably wasn't the best idea considering all the rain we did get. Not having been in a few weeks the itch had gotten pretty bad. Unfortunately the itch now seems to be from my left knee to my toes, and requires a knitting needle to scratch! I see the orthopedist tomorrow, to get a new cast hopefully as this one has several pressure points, and find out when I can get a walking cast. Depending on how the weather holds out I may still ride again this season.
  7. So as it turns out I won't be joining you all for a wonderful weekend of carving. I broke my ankle while riding this morning and will be out of commission for the balance of the season. That being said, If I can get into a walking cast by the time this rolls around I may still drive up and join you all for an apres ski! Hope you all have a great time and leave some trenches for me!
  8. Well it looks like the season is over for me. While riding at Calabogie today with Ian I had a slight incident while stopping at the lift. Somehow I list my edge and did some reverse inverted not so visually appealing Yoga maneuver that my ankle was not willing to complete. So in this case kinetic energy won out over skeletal strength and my left ankle (inside) snapped. And regardless of what you may hear it was in fact gracefully and artfully executed. :D:D The good, if I do as instructed I will likely be able to avoid surgery. The bad, the SQS weekend that I had been so looking forward to is trashed. Now I'm off to watch Top Gear and wallow in self pity. :(:(:(:(
  9. Email sent. Any Canadians going to OES that you might know of? EDIT: I sent you an email last night which will have my home email addy. I can't check that one from work. Any chance you might reply, or re-reply to my work email below? It would be appreciated. christopher.hampton (AT) tc (DOT) gc (DOT) ca Thanks
  10. I could do Calabogie on Sunday. Try and get out early. Might even be able to get my friend out on the carving gear he just got. My next adjustment will be to tip the back leg out as well. I have a bad tendancy to try and drive my rear knee into my front. Not good form, or good on the knees. I think I may call Andrea and see if she has the 700 in a 28 or 28.5. I need the width and mine are just too long. A shorter shell would help me out with the crazy angles I need as well. How do you like your BTS?
  11. I may be interested in the board if you split it up. Please post prices if you decide to.
  12. Has anyone actually booked anywhere yet? On a side note, will anyone be at Tremblant on Monday? I will be heading up with a few friends an wouldn't mind meeting some locals. Also wondering if anyone might have a connection for discount passes?
  13. Hey, Went to edelweiss last night. There were a bunch of racers in the way when we got there but they eventually cleared out. I tried a new setup. 20.5" stance, 60deg on both feet just to get the boots on. No canting. Had front toe lift and rear heal lift. I had measured the amount of adjustment screw exposed above the plates (OS2's) and 3mm difference from front two and rear 2 on each plate. I'm sure a saw a how to for adjusting the bindings somewhere so I guess I should find it. After the first few runs I found this much more useable than my previous attempts. I think the toe lift did it. By the end of the night I was damn near killing myself everytime I hit one of my own trenches! That really peeved the racers. This however did make me realize something. My boots are a terrible fit. The heel lift is rediculous, the liner provides no support andd the boots are too long as evidenced by the arch support being too far forward under my foot. Time to splurge and get something decent!! Looks like a trip to Montreal may be in order. Ian, any suggestions on where to go? I forgot it is the wife's birthday Sunday however she said I could go anyhow if that works best for everyone else. I will be travelling to Tremblant on Monday as well so I would prefer not to do alot of driving on the weekend. Anyone else interested?
  14. Heading to Edelweiss this afternoon. Anyone interested? 613-850-7879
  15. hey, send me an email as well please. cd.hampton AT rogers DOT com
  16. Who? When? Where? I'd like to head out tonight if anyone is interested. Ian if you are game I could pick you up on my way to Edelweiss after dinner.
  17. Andrea/Dave please add me to the Yes list with a likely +1 and a maybe +2. I know, I'm trying to push them off the fence. BTW, is there a particular place most people will be staying? End of day beverages are best enjoyed in groups!
  18. What size is the bolt? There are a few fastener places in the city. Did I read somewhere that they had all their fasteners custom made for the TD2? I'm looking for another set of OS2 SI long plates or at least a second board kit if you happen to come across some. Last night was my first night out this season. I was quite conservative and a little nervous about wrecking my knee again. I took the 185 WCR which is far too much for around here. Should have brought the 175. I was talking with another carver last night from the area. Never got his name. He was just laying it out. Makes me wish I still had the courage and the knees.
  19. Hey, a friend of mine was at Packenham last night and saw you. He was quite impressed. And now he want to buy one of my boards and bindings. So Thanks!!
  20. off to edelweiss. I'll be the big guy in the red WCR.
  21. Do you have a ballpark? Some specs and pics would help.
  22. Per the title. Plans for tomorrow?
